The work Jerome Quinn and team do around this is fantastic. Really enjoyable seeing all the clips over the last few weeks.

Did it go down on the 1st? Maybe it's an annual billing thing for the hosting.

Quote from: SoloAndGo on December 15, 2025, 12:42:44 PMWhy do you think Armagh 1a is meaningless? I would disagree. The team that finished 3rd won their championship. They do have a greater amount of teams who are competitive. And another reason why our leagues should be split. The amount of meaningless games in Div 1 and Div 2 in Antrim is mad. Sarsfields won Div 2 and the only difficult games they had were both against MG.
Armagh 1A isn't meaningless at all, it's perfect environment for clubs pushing for a SFC, no meaningless games. Clubs seeded for the championship. Teams still had something to play for in the last few rounds, including the two teams that were relegated.

Although the clubs in their infinite wisdom voted last week to remove all 2nds teams from the all county league/championship competitions so that might impact the league structure as well as dilute the standard with 9 teams given the boot.

The Peter's only started playing with 3 or 4 games to go in the league.

That's nonsense. They didn't hold back, they just started getting some positive momentum at the right time. Their main ambition this year was to stay senior, which they failed to achieve due to poor league results.

It's always a difficult thing to judge different counties but I thought the word from the off was that Dungiven would win the whole thing pulling up?

It does seem all the top sides ended up on the one side of the draw.

Quote from: Targetman on December 04, 2025, 08:57:38 PMVery impressed with the Abbey tonight in their big win over Armagh, I don't know how that Armagh team beat Omagh based on tonight's game, serious pace in that Abbey team

I guess the Abbey team contains quite a lot of that great Dromintee team?

I was talking to one of their minor coaches and he said six start for the Abbey but they'd have more on the St Pauls team thats struggling, which must be a bit of a concern.

Decent entertainment but it's very poor stuff.

The suggestion of Connolly replacing Cavanagh is bonkers.

Quote from: Gael80 on November 24, 2024, 04:51:54 PM15 v 15 CE win that game with a few to spare.

How on earth can anyone say this with a straight face given how 40 mins or the game at 15 v 15 went?!

CE had quite clearly taken a grasp of the game at that point and EC were really struggling for ideas.

The notion that you can dismiss such a comment with such certainty is pretty nonsensical.

Canavans are just a joy to watch.

Another excellent year out the field.
Morgan not a bad shout.

This may be odd from an Armagh man but I really like Morgan. Great keeper. I just don't think he was the best this year and combine that with Tyrone's poor year overall i don't think he should have got it over Hughes. The recent inter provincials could have played a part too.
Yeah agree with this. Morgan is a serious footballer but didnt deserve it over Blaine.

Soupy and Joe McElroy not even getting nominated told me all I need to know anyway.

Was soupy not a sub most of the year??

No. Started most of their games and did very well too.

Super sub tag understandable given what he did off the bench against Galway, twice, and Kerry.

Hard to take that team seriously with no Hughes or McKay.

Very hard to pick one from Armagh. Cases can be made for three or four.

I think if it goes to Armagh has to be McKay or McCambridge

I think we may a Galway winner.

Rian O'Neill is one of Ulster's best forwards! Oisin will be a great addition to Armagh too if he gets a bit of luck with injuries.

Quote from: brokencrossbar1 on November 12, 2023, 11:54:06 AMLittle to say about the game. Too hard to rationalise so I won't. This hurts.

Well done to Trillick, best team over the hour.  Got the match ups right and McGennitys old style methods seem to be paying dividends. They will make it difficult for whoever is in the semi (likely Kilcoo) and they won't be too far off but still think they will come up slightly short.

On a PS well done to our junior Camogs who won the Ulster championship yesterday. Many clubs would kill for what we win year on year as a club. We just have to get the head down for now and see what next year brings.
rs  On paper Cross have as good or better players than any team in Ulster, certainly far better than Trillick but for whatever reason its just not happening.

That's simply a nonsense statement.

It wasn't to long ago Armagh fans were comparing Conor Turbitt to David Clifford...

Delusion at its finest.

Quit talking shite.
