Quote from: Cunny Funt on August 10, 2025, 01:35:26 PMgrowing business demands, plus travel and time challenges reasons given. Clare's last match was 8 weeks ago it took him that time to reach that conclusion and had it nothing to do with the recent news that Kerry and Cork will be seeded for the 2026 Munster championship?

His heart was never in it. Seeding and best player Emmet McMahon injured for next year for were easy excuses for him to leave. Second Kerry manager in a row to leave them in lurch instead of resigning straight away.

Should give job to someone local like Michael Neylon or Dermot Coughlan.

Hearing Darcy, Jayo and Johnny Cooper??

I'm hearing some big games might be returning for the Dubs too.

If there's one team that spook Kerry it's the Dubs.

Kerry could never beat them at their best and it kills them.

If Dubs could get Mannion Fenton and one or two others back they could be the best chance of stopping a period of Kerry dominance.

Fenton, Mannion or McCaffrey won't be back. All 33 next year.

Quote from: Fogarty on August 03, 2025, 09:47:31 PMAfter jumping ship from Louth, seemingly Ger Brennan isn't going to get the Dublin job.

Ger didn't apply for Dublin role. Stepped away from Louth due to family commitments.

Quote from: clarshack on July 19, 2025, 01:58:46 PMKerry also fortunate that Conn O'Callaghan missed the semi-final in 2022.

Absolute nonsense being put out there that Kerry could be going for 4 or 5 in a row.

They've 2 titles out of the last 15, that's it. Could's, Should's, If's and Maybe's don't count.
These days Con O'Callaghan gets a better reputation from the games he misses than the games he plays in.
2021: Terrible performance from Con in loss to Mayo
2022: Con O'Callaghan misses the Kerry-Dublin semi-final. The expert opinion: "Kerry only won because Con was missing".
2023: Con O'Callaghan plays in the final, stinks the place up, failing to score.
2024: Mediocre performance from Con as Dublin lose to Galway
2025: Every game Con plays in - Mediocre to poor.
Every game Con doesn't play in - "Dublin lacklustre without Con"

Con played most of football at centre forward since 2020 probably why scoring stats have dropped off from play.

Also had a lot of injuries since then after a bad challenge by in club hurling championship game in late 2019.

Quote from: Fogarty on July 12, 2025, 07:35:13 PMTyrone forwards lacked composure in the crucial 3rd quarter.
They will learn for this.

This was summed by Mattie Donnelly getting blocked down in first half which lead to Kerry goal. He should have goaled on a earlier chance too.

Quote from: Fogarty on July 02, 2025, 02:32:21 PMIs Brennan not jumping the gun thinking he has the Dublin job?
He is still not proven yet. He took over a county that was already going places because of Mickey Harte's input.

Brennan was stepping down regardless of Dublin job. Gives Louth plenty of time to appoint a new manager.

Quote from: RedHand88 on July 10, 2025, 01:37:27 PMWheres a good parking spot now for the Davin stand? Haven't been in it in a good few years and I think the entrance is across the canal?

Try Na Fianna club house. Think they charge a tenner.

Tyrone captain mentioned Colton and Kerr being with them on this journey, is Colton heading off to play soccer too?

Really hogs the mic. Give the young lad the cup.

Well done Tyrone. Thought kicked away. Great free from the no 11 to equalise.

Kerry have it won. Tyrone have kicked away.

Quote from: NotedObserver on July 01, 2025, 07:00:36 PMWill ger look to mannion, Fenton or mccaffrey? Or will he totally move on?

New manager will be looking to the future. Them lads will all be 33 next year, they have achieved everything in game and have no more desire to play intercounty.
