Have alot of sympathy for Slaughneil yesterday after watching that. They looked way off the standard of Loughrea who bar a miracle I don't think will be fit for Ballygunner.

Ulster hurling is dire at the minute and it doesn't help Slaughneil trying to compete at all, realistically they haven't had a decent competitive game since All Ireland Semi final in 2024. St Johns done great winning Antrim but were miles off Slaughneil standard.

Antrim championship is competitive but its a competitive poor standard, once these teams go to Croke Park everything goes to a speed they can't cope with. The hurling gaels of Ulster constantly say they aren't getting the help, I love to ask what they want? Surely its up to the clubs to raise the standard if they wany to compete.

Harsh on Portaferry who were well in the contest until they conceded a goal after a very fortunate rebound.

Any word on Maghera moving away from their model of accepting every good footballer in south Derry without the need for academic requirements, asking for a friend.

A big leg up must be said, shocking when there is a year group that they're not competing

Seen Odhrán Lynch on crutches on Saturday. Apparently lad surgery on his hip but sure what kind of surgery or if it was a replacement and the other hip also needs done. Probably wouldn't expect to see him back this year at that rate.

wouldn't be replacement at his age. keyhole arthroscopy for FAI and laberal tears is my guess. could be back by may/june. Might wait for other hip, can be managed with injections/rehab.

James Sargent is gone, hopefully he will take his time and recover properly.

Should have been a 2 pointer. As I say the ref needs to be absolutely sure it is, or is not. The evidence supports it should have a been a two pointer. The balance of probability is in S'neils favour here.

The ref doesn't even point what way the foul was on the infraction is given. That is such an incredible penalty for S'neil to have suffered. The ball broke, a s'neil player gets the break, the Newbridge player hits and the ball spills and the ref penalises s'neil, and as I said no hand signal to indicate his decision. The s'neil player who won the break concentration was on getting the ball. A brilliant example of such a terrible rule never mind the ref not signalling clearly

I'd disagree. Looked very much like he had it knocked out of his hands. Add it to Shane McGuigans 2 pointer that wasn't given Slaughtneil have every right to be unhappy with the referee with how the game ended.

Never a black. He rushed out to attempt a save assuming a shot was coming. Not a deliberate trip

Shea had nothing to do with the initial fall out in Lavey.

This isn't accurate at all.
It was a players meeting with an anonymous vote arranged by Shea. We all seen the messages.
Vote was originally planned to not be anonymous until other player(s) objected.
Fall out only happened once downeys lost the vote.

What's going wrong in Lavey hurling  cant seem to escape junior since the rejigging of the grades

Unlucky with the draw this year arguably having the best 2 teams in the county in their group.

They could have finished top 2 in the other group but I'd say very little different between banagher, screen and lavey with swatragh possibly slightly ahead of these 3.

Swatragh beating Kevin Lynchs last year during a hurricane on a day where the senior final was cancelled really affected seedings.

Fair play to Castledawson, who played every game in the senior league, 15 infact and eventually got relegated, but took it on the chin. No emails to the CCC looking to get put into next seasons intermediate league & not finishing out their league games.

Your attack on Drumsurn is funny. Did one of their ex-Derry minor players or College stars get a turn at your ex-mrs one night?

College stars? Ex- Derry minor player. I think their ex Derry minor players are about 40 at this stage and can't recall any college stars.
