Greg Blaney is a serious omission from this list.

Spotters badge

Explain?

Means a badge for spotting, as in well spotted.

This is going to turn out to be such a lop sided poll with the amount of Tyronies on here, you should have to vote for someone outside your county.

I expect Hanley, Dyas and Begley to be home very soon.

Dyas has already told Collingwood he is returning to Ireland.

Not true, thats the article from last week and if you want to check orchard county website and the Iirish News where someone got in contact with Dyas and he rubbished it.

The title of this thread should be changed. No need for that carry on about Mucksavages. Catch yourself on.

I only saw the highlights of the Antrim match tonight but I listened to the Cork/Dublin game on the wireless on my way home from a match in Armagh. It sounded like a really exciting game.

Those ladies put a huge effort into their game and they deserve recognition for that. The standard has improved dramatically in recent years due to good coaching and better training.

Have to agree about the goalkeeping though. A real weakness. Are they not allowed to dive?

Their diddies must get in the way.

Why was karl Stwert not listed in the St Galls squad? St Galls where fantastic last night and must be clear favourites for ulster. Nial McKeever looked an ordinary club player in a Portglenone team that where woeful.

he's just concentrating on hurling :P (injured)

i wouldn't say that we are favourites for Ulster. certainly like the other teams involved they'd all fancy getting to the final due to the teams that have been knocked out already.

St Galls will be clear favourites for Ulster once the odds come out no doubt about it.

GAA Discussion / Re: Kilmacud Crokes 7's

http://www.breakingnews.ie/sport/clonduff-achill-and-eire-og-take-sevens-titles-427075.html

Teams from three of the four provinces were in winning mood yesterday as they prevailed in the All-Ireland Sevens competitions in Kilmacud and Templeogue respectively.

Clonduff were crowned oneills.com Kilmacud Crokes All-Ireland Senior Football Sevens champions for the first time in their history, after a hard-fought victory over Longstone by 0-11 to 0-8.

Meanwhile, Achill (Cup) and Éire Óg, Cork (Shield) claimed the Bord Gais Energy St Jude's Junior Football honours.

In an all-Down decider at Kilmacud, Clonduff led by 0-4 to 0-3 at the interval, with player of the tournament Jason Brown, John Fegan, Eamonn O'Reilly and Finbarr McConville all on target.

Longstone, who won this tournament two years ago, were well in contention at the break though, with Mark Poland, Ambrose Rogers and Ryan Kelly scoring points.

Indeed, Longstone actually hit the front with a four fine second-half points by Barry Doran.

Doran converted three frees and added one magnificent effort off the outside of his right boot that bounced on the crossbar and over.

Kelly had a great goal chance but blasted over from an admittedly tight angle and Clonduff made the most of the let-off to gradually pull clear, Brown, Fegan, McConville, Darren O'Hagan and Conor Óg O' Hagan getting the crucial scores.

Meanwhile, Mayo outfit Achill collected the 2009 Bord Gais Energy St Judes All-Ireland Cup Football Sevens Cup last night thanks to a 2-8 to 2-6 final win over St MacCartans of Tyrone.

It was a trio of late points from Bord Gais Energy 'Laoch an Lae' David Cattigan which earned the islanders back-to-back titles.

Achill led by 2-2 to 0-4 at half-time, thanks to goals from Brian Gallagher and Cattigan.

MacCartans staged a strong comeback on the restart, but nothing could stop the reigning champions in the end.

Meanwhile, led by Cork star Ciaran Sheehan, Eire Og, Ovens claimed the Bord Gais Shield title following a 4-13 to 3-10 extra-time win over the Aran Islands.

Éire Óg led by 1-5 to 1-2 at half-time in normal time with Kevin Hallissey netting their goal.

Sheehan gave a starring performance, finishing the decider with a personal tally of 1-4.

http://www.independent.ie/sport/gaelic-football/clonduff-pick-off-points-to-take-sevens-title-1891929.html

CLONDUFF completed a memorable double at Glenalbyn in Dublin on Saturday when winning the oneills.com Kilmacud Crokes All-Ireland football senior Sevens title for the first time in their history.

The success comes just a week after the club claimed the Shield for the camogie 7s at the same venue.

An estimated attendance of 4,000 people showed up for the 37th running of this annual event with Ulster providing all eight quarter-finalists.

Clonduff emerged from a tough group that included Nemo Rangers, St Patrick's from Louth and Roscommon's Padraig Pearses.

Having accounted for Clonoe (Tyrone) and Crossmaglen (Armagh) in the quarter and semi-finals respectively, Clonduff faced fellow Mourne side Longstone in the decider.

Unusually, the final was devoid of goals, so it was Clonduff's ability to kick scores from distance that ultimately earned them the honours with a final scoreline of 0-11 to 0-8.

Elsewhere, Mayo side Achill were crowned the St Jude's All-Ireland Cup JF Sevens champions thanks to a 2-8 to 2-6 final win over St MacCartan's, Tyrone where three late points from David Cattigan proved crucial for the islanders.

The intermediate competition, staged by the Ratoath GAA club in Meath, was won by Westmeath outfit Maryland, who saw off Derry side Greenlough in the decider on a scoreline of 5-3 to 3-6.

GAA President Christy Cooney has committed Croke Park for the staging of the 2011 Ulster Bank GAA Sigerson Cup Final.

Cooney was speaking at the AGM of Comhairle Ardoideachais (Third Level GAA) at Dublin Institute of Technology Aungier Street.

'I would like to commend the work of the Higher Education GAA sector and offer Croke Park to host the 2011 Sigerson Cup final in the centenary year of the competition,' he said.

The Sigerson Cup was first competed for in 1911 when it was won by UCD.

Meanwhile Chairman John Devaney has resigned from his role. The Longford native had been in the position for the past four years, and has been succeeded by Dundalk IT's Michael O'Maille who previously held the role of secretary.

O'Maille is a native of Silverbridge in Co. Armagh.

Mike McMahon of Athlone I.T. takes over from O'Maille as Secretary and is also involved with Higher Education GAA in Leinster.

McMahon is from Clare and is currently resides in Galway.

Officers Elected - Comhairle Ardoideachais 2009/2010:

Chairman - Michael Maile (DKIT);

Vice Chairman - Gerry Tully (DIT);

Secretary - Mike McMahon (AIT);

PRO - Cóilín Duffy;

Treasurer - Ray O Brien (TCD);

Ard Chomairle Delegate - John Devaney (QUB);

Coiste Bainisti Delegate - Pat Naughton;

Connacht - Larry Elwood (GMIT);

Leinster - Tommy Flynn (NUIM);

Ulster - Adrian McGuckin (UUJ);

Munster - Des Cullinane (UCC);

British Universities - Peter Mossey.

Dunno if holding it in a sparsely filled Croker would be good. How many can they expect to get for the final in all seriousness?
