Is seems like a good fit to me.  "Make the most of now....'cos we're f**ked when we get out of Leinster".

I won't miss him if he does go. His team is the epitome of everything that is wrong with Gaelic football.

Harsh but the team has appeared to lack ambition in terms of its style of play in the last few years.

This is different to the Kerry manager phenomenon that we've seen up to this where Dwyer or Paidi brings high profile and confidence to (apologies to all concerned) perceived under achievers.  Or where Liam Kerins brings a little of the Kerry way to Limerick or Laois. Galway are a strong, traditional county but they have form in bringing in outsiders.  The appointment of Big Joe would hark back more to the appointment of John O'Mahony or even Ger Loughnane to Galway teams in previous years than it does to Mickey Ned in Limerick or John Evans in Tipp.

A kick in the teeth for supporters from Croke Park.  They ripped up a perfectly good surface to facilitate a rock concert and replaced it with the surface that coped so poorly in the rain last Sunday.  Is the state of the new surface a factor in the decision to make a more determined effort to exclude fans from the pitch this year?

I suspect that one way or the other it will never be mentioned again post 20 September until some other team (if any) achieves or surpasses that number of appearances in finals.

Kerry also reached seven finals in eight years from 75 to 82.  A great achievement from the current crop no doubt but Kerry teams and players will always be measured by titles won and not by the number of times they contested the Final.

Hard to see how you can omit Marc O Se or Stevie Mc.

Entertaining and all as the Kerry V Tyrone banter always is, I don't think it has much relevance to this year's final.

Cork will turn up, Counihan will see to that.  Will Kerry?  If they do, it could be a classic.  Kerry by a nose.

Sheehy ahead of the Bomber I would have thought if the selection is based on the period 84-09.  Also Tomás must have been close.
