Absolutely brainless stuff by the Armagh defender there, went from Galway trying to work a shot in the final seconds, to a gimme free to win it

Jaysus, that's outrageous. Some stones to take that on, no hesitation at all

Win wasn't the main focus I wouldn't say, but still no harm in getting it and having another run out for alot of the new lads
Hopefully those boys all take a nice extended break until after we play :D

I think you lads are safe enough for that game! Can't see us getting too many back for the first couple games of the league at least

That kick out which just went under the lads legs sums up Scotstowns 2nd half - they've had loads of chances, but didn't take them

They'll be kicking themselves for a long time

Brigids have been much the better team overall, but have completely went back into their shell this last 10 minutes, and invited Scotstown onto them. Scotstown could easily be ahead if they weren't so wasteful in this period, they've had loads of chances

Scotstown seem very lax in possession when they're on the attack, and have lost possession very sloppily which has directly led to at least 0-3 from Brigids on the counter. You'd have thought they'd hold onto the ball a bit more solid given that they're playing a very risky game of pushing Beggan up so deep

34mins FULL TIME
Clontibret : 0-20 (20) (0-1-18)
Bredagh: 3-8 (17) (3-0-8)

I assume the winners of the other semi on 26th December between Dungiven & Dromintee will be heavy favourites.

Curious what that's based on. I'm not really up on the minor club scene in other counties across the province

Quote from: Truthsayer on December 13, 2025, 08:45:19 PMThoroughly deserved. Beggan is something else.. a few dodgy kick-outs but was still MOM. Comes out and practically controls a game and his free kicking is top drawer.

Made a good stop for a goal chance too, and made that catch in the first half where the ball looked like it was nearly going over. Just such a serious player to have in your team, huge presence at the back and an incredible weapon from placed balls

Well deserved MOTM award for Beggan, didn't have a perfect game and made a couple of errors at times - but by God he's one seriously influential player, at both ends of the pitch. Scotstown would have been goosed without his input tonight, as they would have been on many other days. What a player, some man for the big moments

Well there you have it, Scotstown finally do it. Certainly didn't do it the easy way, as has been the case in this competition the last decade. Have shown serious resolve to keep getting back to this stage despite all the bad, close defeats.

I'd be lying if I said I was a huge fan of Scotstown the club, but it'd also be a lie to say this players don't deserve it. The like of Beggan, Hughes's etc, they've earned it many times over

Kilcoo out of ideas with the way they're shooting, Scotstown have it unless they make a disaster of a mistake now.

McCarthy v selfish there

Absolutely atrocious decision making by Kilcoo with this shot selection, could well be the deciding factor

McPhillips is some man to throw into these throw ups, seems he gets a hand to them all, if not outright catches them. Not sure why Scotstown don't kick more kickouts down the middle, which have often led to a muddle of players over the ball, resulting in Hurson calling a throw up
