In years past, this fixture would have generated 100 pages on its own. Times have changed somewhat however still expecting a feisty confrontation on April 12th with NFL form counting for nothing.

Are Tyrone in the long grass ideally positioned for an ambush despite the bookies having Armagh as big favourites?

Any word on tickets going on sale as yet?

Donegal are just angering Kerry to another All Ireland.  This facile win will count for little in June/July.

Has a feeling of Div 2 is Armagh's destiny about it.  Concede too many goals and an inability to score goals is the story of this league so far.

GAA+ just one game on this weekend, Tyrone v Offaly, not a great return on investment this year to date.

With loss of Andrew Murnin who has easily been our best player in the league, with a weakened midfield, have to worry for Armagh this weekend.  Donegal with their aggressive high press allied with Armagh's ongoing struggle to get the ball out in those situations doesn't bode well.  However, maybe the Donegal men will be content with having secured Div 1 safety  :)

Quote from: gallsman on August 22, 2025, 09:13:54 AMPlaying a festival, especially something like the Feile that has its own buzz about it with prime doing lots of different stuff, is one thing. Pretty much everyone there is from West Belfast. They're not travelling from far and wide to see the Wolfe Tones.

Selling out an 80,000 seater stadium (with everything it takes to put on the show there) is a very different prospect.

Wouldn't happen in a million years.

Ye reckon do ye? ...

Quote from: marty34 on August 22, 2025, 11:59:21 AMSurprises me how many young people know the songs of The Wolfe Tones and Irish Brigade etc.

The crowds at TWT's set at Electric Picnic was crazy
.

The young ones loved it.

A peak crowd for them in their long career.

Ahemmm ... EP24 >>> the other 9 stages ended up being closed during their set, as the whole site headed to the Tones ...

The Armagh v Kerry Quarter Final was the de facto final as it turned out.  Donegal not at the races, and with MM and PMcB not getting any younger, difficult to see an All Ireland in them at this point.

At least with Brendan Cawley being the man in the middle, Michael Murphy know's he'll be afforded the time to get an oul' stretch in at kick outs  ::)

With risk of over simplifying it, win midfield and win the game.  I expect Donegal to boss the kickouts, starve Kerry of ball into the forwards, grind them down and eventually strangle the game.  Donegal by 3 but having matters well under control long before the final whistle.

Lurgan teams will require a boat to leave the island.

The takeaway from that map is to invest in property in Kerry!

Given Donegal's issues with Hyde Park, and I agreed with their point around that, however thought Jim laid it on a bit thick afterwards ... and now the 6 day turnaround statement, I'm starting to wonder is Jim trying to deflect from cracks in Donegal's armour, seems a poor attempt at a siege mentality.  If that's what it's taking for Donegal before a Q/Final, you have to wonder if all is well.

Is Martin McHugh still a member of the CCCC?
