Just moved to London with work, i want to get a "system" on to my tv... is there somewhere i can get a plug and play system,fully loaded using a firestick or something similar, happy to pay for a subscription. If anyone on here supplies them or can point me in a direction that would be great. I am basically looking for the Irish channels, movies and sports... Thanks.

What sort of tv have you? Is it a smart tv or android tv.

I have an LG Smart tv, its not android.

I would have thought the opposite. I'm sure they were offered a large wedge earlier this week already by HQ to move or stick with Croke Park.

I hear that Kildare County board are now on their own with this match insurance wise, organization wise and the rest.

One of the conditions for holding the Connacht Final in Hyde Park  was , "The event controller, safety officer, chairperson, secretary and treasurer of Roscommon GAA shall be ultimately responsible for the safety if persons on this occasion".
So it's you got your match now take care of it and don't come running to us if there's any problem.

The GAA can put in whatever terms or disclaimers they want, but the law is quite clear, once money is exchanged between the patron and the organising body, all responsibility to take "reasonable care" is down to the organsining body. Its the same with all events, no disclaimer is worth the paper its written on, if the necessary precautions aren't taken.

Well done all, i knocked 41 minutes off my previous PB...felt really strong for the entire thing. Ran a reverse race, I was 10 minutes quicker over the second half...roll on 2017.

Doing it as well, last 2 miler last night...really felt dead in the legs...Roll on Sunday afternoon, a supersize Supermacs and a heap of Pints after.....

Try to think of it this way..would you take the dead body of your late mother and leave her in the back field? the new croke park (pardon the pun) It's all about treating the remains the way you would if it was the whole body.  We're slowly losing the old ways in Ireland. Regardless of your faith there was always utmost respect and support shown at wakes and funerals. Now there are viewing parlours and nobody shows up to the graveyard - changed times.

Thus, while "cremation is now permitted, it does not enjoy the same value as burial of the body...The Church clearly prefers and urges that the body of the deceased be present for the funeral rites, since the presence of the human body better expresses the values which the Church affirms in its rites." (OCF 413) However, "when extraordinary circumstances make the cremation of a body the only feasible choice, pastoral sensitivity must be exercised by all who minister to the family of the deceased." (OCF 414)

The rites for burial of the cremated remains of a body may be found in the appendix to the Order of Christian Funerals. This appendix recommends that when cremation is chosen, the body be cremated after the Funeral, thus allowing for the presence of the body at the Funeral Mass. When pastoral circumstances require it, however, cremation and committal may take place even before the Funeral liturgy.

Any catechesis on the subject of cremation should emphasize that "the cremated remains of a body should be treated with the same respect given to the corporeal remains of a human body. This includes the use of a worthy vessel to contain the ashes, the manner in which they are carried, the care and attention to appropriate placement and transport, and the final disposition." (OCF 416)

While cremated remains may be buried in a grave, entombed in a mausoleum or columbarium or even buried at sea, "the practice of scattering cremated remains on the sea, from the air, or on the ground, or keeping cremated remains in the home of a relative or friend of the deceased are not the reverent disposition that the Church requires." (OCF 416) The cremated remains of the body may be properly buried at sea in the urn, coffin or other container in which they have been carried to the place of committal.

Ah the good old times, when the local priest and Guard ran the show...always for the good of the people  , never for control, power and wealth, let the church keep their noses out of people's business, such arrogance from the church to say, that scattering people's ashes, where they or their families want to is disrespectful. I though God was supposed to be everywhere, not just in the graveyard.

As for the traditions of burial, it is now very common in my part of the world, West Mayo, that the wake is held in the house and the body removed to the church the morning of the burial, which is a return to the old way of doing things.

I am hoping to do that time in 2 weeks time and i am 40 years younger than him! Here's a question, i did my last 20 miler yesterday, i had a slight niggle and took a couple of Nurofen at the start and two more at the 10 mile mark, i knocked 12 minutes off my best time for the 20 miles, i am wondering does anyone use any pain killers or anything else during races? Morally, is there much of a difference in taking a few Nurofen or gels? I will be putting a couple of them in my belt.....

How about looking at the sin bin for yellow cards...Micko is no longer around to lead the crusade against it...has to be better than the black card....

Did a bit on the turbo trainer last night and knee felt grand. Much better today also. Have any of you been to Amphibian King to buy runners? Might go and get that gait analysis done and buy a new pair. I hear great reviews about Amphibian King.

In general have many of you found much use in gait analysis?

I have noticed this past while that I am getting pain up my inner leg from the ankle half way up my lower leg and wonder whether my footwear are a cause of it. I do tend to foot strike with the inside of my foot first (if that makes sense)

I am a total skeptic when it comes to gait analysis. I got it done in elverys a few years ago, got a pair of runners with some support on my arch, 140 euros worth of support!! 6 weeks later, i was killed with shin pains. Off to the physio, brought in the new runners, it turns out that my feet did not need any arch support at all. Reverted back to the neutral pair of runners and no injuries since. 50 Euros a pair, i change them regularly. There is a lot of thinking out there, that there is no benefit in fancy runners, if your runners are comfortable and you have very little injuries, stick with what works. Just my opinion.

I have a foam roller that I never use...maybe I'll try that thanks.
Don't think I'll bother with gait analysis. Went to Elverys today and tried on a few pairs but bought nothing.
Liked the Nike Pegasus 33 and there were a few Asics I liked also.

Went out for my usual hill run this morning, run I've done countless times at this stage. I was a bit sore and stiff from doing a heavy leg day in the gym on Monday but had run fine (a flat, gentle decline and back) on Tuesday. Today however, the humidity had really spiked and I'd never wanted to quit as much. It was agony and felt like I was going to burst at times. Is this normal with increased humidity? Managed to finish and recovered pretty quickly, but during the run itself I felt like absolute death.

We are just not used to it and like everything in life, some days you are up for it and more days not..I went for a 10k on Tuesday night, has to stop twice to get myself together...getting liquids on board is crucial in this weather.
