The changes needs to start at the very top.  The writing has been on the wall for a very long time and I fear it is going to get even worse.  Life in the slow lane indeed, it's an absolute disgrace what has been allowed to happen.

Very surprising and very pleasing result last night.  Who knew that starting a mobile, fit goalkeeper with two working arms could help with a clean sheet?  There is no way that Schmeichel should play at Ibrox.  Put a tenner on him starting.

Ange put a massive plaster over a gaping wound in his time at Celtic.  Desmond and the Board have overseen a managed decline in the last 20 years.  Squad, stadium, academy, structure and governance all not fit for purpose.  Not one penny has Desmond invested in the club and the Board have rewarded themselves handsomely in all that time.  The other clubs in Scotland are beginning to get their act together and this could get a whole lot worse before anything changes.  Still, it's all the fans fault......

Clonian, can you share the schedule for juvenile hurling and football this season please?  We currently have no secretary and info is scarce on the ground!  ::)

Quote from: marty34 on January 25, 2026, 05:55:09 PMDesmond and Nicholson need to leave.

No investment in players.
Stadium run down.
No communication with fans.
Academy a joke.
Banned the GB.
AGM a pre-planned farce.
Appointment and keeping of Nancy when it was clear he was out of his depth a joke.
Using Martin O'Neill's legacy to take heat off the board.
Recruitment team a joke.
100% agree. Doesn't take away from a hopeless performance today though. Didn't string 3 passes together all day. Bringing Dane Murray and Anthony Ralston on says everything.

I admire your optimism illdecide.  I have zero confidence in the Board to actually sign anyone never mind a decent striker.  If the manager wins a title with the current squad it would be a minor miracle.

The squad has been downgraded significantly over the past year and the absolute shambles at the top won't change until Desmond and his yes men on the Board are gone.

The guy responsible for identifying and recruiting Tounekti, Balikwisha, and Yamada is also the guy responsible for identifying and recruiting the new manager.  He also slept through a good part of yesterday's game.  He was brilliant at Exeter City though.  FFS.  So many things wrong at Celtic at the moment.  World class at everything they do, isn't that what the Board said??

Our hurlers are under pressure after the failure of the camogs and footballers in their respective finals.  Hopefully they can do it.

The pitch is going to be a huge issue for all of the hurling finals.  The senior final should be in Ballycran, it's supposed to be the showpiece of the year and they'll be playing on a ploughed field come Sunday afternoon.  That might suit johnneycool's lads though!  ;)

Any of you lads tried MyWhoosh app for indoor training?  I'm assuming it's not as good as Zwift?  The free version is grand for me, just wondered if if Zwift was worth paying for?!

Sarcasm doesn't come across well online!  Totally agree with you.

Well, it seems as if everything that could go wrong is going wrong.  Nobody saw this state of affairs coming down the track................

Absolute shitshow.

I don't envy whoever is co-ordinating fixtures and referees but they could do themselves a massive favour and do away with the group stage format for championship at juvenile level.  Maybe a back door option if a team loses their first game but no more than that.  Also having Plate, Shield, Cup and Championship is overkill.

We had fellas playing football and hurling at 14's and 16's and as clonian has pointed out it the last couple of weeks of August and start of September were crazy.  Dual clubs are getting it tight.  I'm sure many would say just scrap one code but that would cause civil war within clubs!!  No easy answers.

He's a fat mess.  Got chased out of Middlesbrough last season after a disastrous loan spell and Sevilla terminated his contract at the end of the window cos no-one would pay a cent for him.  Probably an upgrade on Idah though................

What an absolute farce of a transfer window so far.  Something is completely rotten at Celtic (not just the football).
