BTW - why am I seeing things on Tik Tok over one of their players?
There was a message going around of a shall we say descriptive voice message he sent to a young girl about what activities he wanted to partake in with her.

:D
Is there any truth to her being younger?
Heard and seen the videos myself and thought it was nothing that hasnt been said before, whole load of nonsense over nothing
Had heard she was 17 but could be only rumour. Sneaky act by her sending that to anyone, I'm sure her voice message wasn't innocent that we don't hear.  What age is the player?

Nothing too bad in fairness but obviously not stuff you'd want your granny hearing!
Hes 26, 9 years a bit ropey in fairness especially with her being underage. Can only imagine what was said by herself in the buildup

Quote from: tits for tatts on November 13, 2025, 03:40:43 PMProposals currently being put forward for the 2026 season include-

Starred game system- the first ten league games will be played while county players are missing for the standard two points for an win and one for a draw. The last five games will then be played with the county players and worth 4 points for a win and two for a draw.

Discontinuation of preseason competitions- no jim devlin or mcgarrity cup

Decoupling and separation of reserve football- due to the number of conceded games, it is proposed that reserve games should be played separate from seniors meaning that it could be possible to have a division 1 senior team with a reserve team playing in division 3. This will mean that reserve and senior games will be played on different days. The idea of splitting the reserve league into east and west sides has also been put forward to try to reduce the number of games conceded.

Thirds teams- Any club must show proof of having at least 64 registered players  to enter a thirds team and 80 for a thirds reserve team.

Certainty of schedule- All fixtures to be released in early 2026 along with a week break in early July.

Standalone fixtures- Key league games to be played midweek on their own to allow people from across the county to attend or even possibly view on Tyrone TV if there is the demand.

Bit of a mixed bag in my opinion, anyone any thoughts?

Not sure on the 4 point system. Imagine two teams fighting to avoid relegation. One plays the eventual relegated team while worth two points and and the other gets them last few games and get 4 for the same victory, clubs would feel like they've been shafted if that was the case.

Reserve proposal is a good idea i think especially for junior clubs. Lads dont want to be travelling on a friday night for a reserve game at the other end of the county some maybe getting out of work early.

Stand alone fixtures would be good for the money to the county board but id say all clubs would rather play weekend football if possible.
frankly i cant see the four point league happening, thats an easy 20 points if you are lucky with the draw

Something should be in place for the pre season comp for the non county playing club players as they have to wait to April/May to play a competitive game, perhaps a 7 a side tournament could be in place to ensure those not part of county squads have something that will keep them motivated until then.

Of course, it wont be as competitive as a league game but its also something for players to train towards before the league starts.

Beats slugging out training and the odd meaningless friendly. Of course teams in lower division would be as strong as any team in terms of 7 a side esp without county players.

With rotation to whoever wins the year before will host it the following year, with possibility of making it a good fund raising opportunity and of course maybe the introduction of ladies tournament alongside it. Bit of craic if anything & a fun day for all to attend.
Would be good to see something like that  but cant imagine the county board organizing it, no money in it for them  ;)

Quote from: Canavanistheman03 on October 20, 2025, 04:27:35 PMPredictions for the weekend?

Lough v trillick - game to go either way and be tighter than many expect. Lough with there tails up and nothing to lose. Pressure on trillick to take the crown back to Fermanagh.
Lough by the minimum.

Pomeroy v Fianna- No Mcgeary is massive loss for the Plunkett's. The confidence they got from the trillick game do them no harm. Fianna be hard stopped after seeing there neighbours to the "double double" as Damien Harvey quoted.
Fianna by 6
Ballsy enough call to go for lough in my opinion. It was seen at the weekend the effect three championship games in three weeks had on Drumragh.
Although I must say lough could have had the derby game put to bed at half time if they took their chances. If they create and execute them on Sunday they may very well be in the contest. All about getting McElhome and McCullagh into it.
It will also take trillick to be on an off day as a team with their experience shouldnt be falling short to a team who are in uncharted waters.

Yes could go all the way tomorrow night, although i dont think penalties should be the way a game like this is decided
