finnerty is such a classy footballer from an Armagh point of view it was a blessing that he was injured in 2024 because Galway were winning it if he had been fit .

Finnerty and Murnin put on exhibitions.
Galway had no right to win that game but somehow kind of
For Monday, you sir need to write an essay of no less than 500 words explaining the last sentence, aye.
Galway deserved it for their belief. Even though they were generally outplayed across the field, they chased and harried every Armagh attempt for a score, forcing mistakes aplenty, while kicked their own with conviction.
The Infringement 3/2 was a shocking decision by officials which will have consequences and a game changer as such
Will be interesting what is said about it .
Overall decent game
Quote from: johnnycool on January 29, 2026, 03:58:56 PMI'm not going to trawl this entire thread and this may have been pointed out already, but not only do Allianz sponsor the National Leagues they are also the company the GAA has everything insured with.Reality the gaa struggle to get blanket insurance cover for clubs
This doesn't make it right and for me the GAA really need to start looking for a new insurance company as well as league sponsors.

Quote from: Captain Obvious on January 25, 2026, 06:13:54 PMGood for Armagh to get up and running with a win and comfortable one at that however conceding 0-18 to such a patched up Monaghan team is a slight concern.Who replaced mc Kay

Quote from: Splash on January 21, 2026, 07:18:04 PMConsidering the Abbey takes its colours from the Down county colours, it is fair to say it is a Down institution.Interesting splash
St Colman's similarly another Down institution.
Of course, goes without saying that both accommodate for those who come to them from the Armagh side of the Clanrye.

Marty Clarke put on some display for Kilkeel in the Macrory Final that year, Abbey got a goal with last kick to win game.Quote from: imtommygunn on January 12, 2026, 10:28:08 AMWhen was the last time abbey won the macrory? I don't ever mind them winning though could have missed it.
[Edit] Ah 2006. Didn't think they'd won it this century.
I assume this was the year Kevin Dyas was flying for them.
