Quote from: Wildweasel74 on February 23, 2025, 07:08:05 PMAsk the simple question, are the players there. Take out the 2 Canavans, what left up front?

I struggle to think of many other counties that have a set of inside forwards like Bradley, McShane, McCurry, Canavan x2 and McElholm?

Obviously all in varying form, but they've shown it in the past or have big potential.

Clifford is arguably the only inside forward who is definitely above Darragh C.

Clifford, Sean O'Shea, Conn O'Callaghan, Shane Walsh, Rian O'Neill, Oisin Gallen, Shane McGuigan.
Would any of the top teams swap their marquee forward for Darragh, I don't think they would.
Mayo are the only top team who haven't a forward as good or better than Darragh Canavan.
You could do this with any of our forwards - McCurry/McBrearty McElholm/Murray Bradley/Basquel McShane/Murnin Ruairi Canavan/Finnerty.
We haven't got an elite forward line when we compare with the other Division 1 teams.

That is some insult to Andy Murnin.

Does anyone wear a Whoop? I am sure there will be some decent Black Friday deals but I have heard mixed reviews.

Here's my guess

Omagh
Aghyaran v Moortown
Killyclogher v Carrickmore

Dungannon
Rock v Moy
Errigal Ciaran v Clonoe

Carrickmore
Beragh v Greencastle
Ardboe v Trillick

Pomeroy
Owen Roes v Derrylaughan
Loughmacrory v Dungannon

Not enough money to be made on four double headers for our county board. I would be surprised if we don't see another Thursday through to Monday weekend.

Thursday Dungannon:
Ardboe v Trillick

Friday Omagh:
Aghyaran v Moortown
Killyclogher v Carrickmore

Saturday Galbally/Carrickmore:
Moy v Rock
Beragh v Greencastle

Sunday Pomeroy/Carrickmore:
Owen Roes v Derrylaughan
Loughmacrory v Dungannon

Monday Dungannon:
Errigal v Clonoe

Quote from: PeterEli on June 06, 2024, 09:00:11 PMHi Folks, maybe someone on here will have knowledge in this area and be able to point me in the right direction or have some decent advice.

I am currently a primary school teacher working in the north, living in a border region with a few county Monaghan towns within a shorter or similar distance to my current commute. With the glaring difference in pay it would be foolish of me to not explore the avenue of transferring to teach in the south. I am aware of the process of registering with the teaching council, aware also of the Irish language requirement, in school observations, oral and written exam and a course in the Gaeltacht. My Irish doesn't currently stretch passed a Cupla Focal & GCSE Irish many moons ago.

Is this my only option for getting employment with the teaching council to register as a primary teacher and complete the Irish language requirement. Or would it be possible to register as a secondary teacher, completing some kind of top up credits or even registering as a SEN teacher and gaining a relevant qualification.

If anyone has any advice or has done similar before I would really appreciate it. Cheers.
Go subbing
Lots of work

Can you go subbing without full registration? Would you be on the unqualified rate?

Do you not get 5 years to complete the irish test now ?

I am not sure on this, I assumed you had to have the test to register, could be wrong on that.

Could anyone confirm the format for relegation/ promotion playoffs? Is it the same as last season? Last year Derrylaughran finished 16th, resulting in automatic relegation, Clonoe finished 15th and had to travel to 14th place Moy in play off, resulting in a Moy victory. Moy then played division 2 pronation play off winners Edendork, Edendork winning AET.
Is this the same format this year? I heard there was a proposal to change format of play offs but not sure if that passes or if it is for next season. I don't have a horse in this race, just curious, a lot of twists and turns over the next 3 weekends.

Does anyone have gradings for u15s? Interested in compiling a list of what grades a club is playing at for each age group. U19, U17 & U13 are on the tyronegaa website but no info for u15.

Had a test a 4pm on 27th and result at 10.30 am on 28th.
Does it depend on where you get the test ?

Enniskillen.

Wife and her sister tested at same time as me, one back positive one negative. Still no word myself.

Does anyone know turn around time for PCR test results in the North? They state 24-48 hours and I know there is a huge backlog at present, waiting over 48 hours now.

Would have been 15 - 24 hours up until this latest variant Peter. Our last took over 35 hrs (a week ago). Will prob land soon, if not, it could come back tomorrow 'void' and you'd have to retest. Serious backlog though as you say

Cheers.
