Gutted, sickened etc. But watching back on it I think there's a load of positives to be taken.
They worked like absolute dogs, they didn't sh!t the pants like the Dubs. They gave a great account of themselves but just disappointing the decision making & shooting wasn't that bit better to give them a deserved win.
It'll be hard but Wexford are absolutely there for the taking. The clubs coming out of Wexford the last few years have been chronic, nothing to fear. They should give them a good rattle to finish the year on a high to reward the work they put in.

Lots of complaints about the manager, but sure isn't there always! With club and county, the nature of it. When Cody's golden generation went he wasn't a cut above many other managers out there. Have to play beyond the manager.

It's how we react now and leave on a good note for next year.

What makes the Laois situation even worse is a population increase of 30K in the last 20 years. We grew by half a Monaghan! And look at how effective they are with 30K less than us. Portlaoise should have 2 senior teams for both codes with the population there. The level their hurling team is at for for a town of 25K is shocking. If Portlaoise had their house in order and then pick the best of the small towns and villages we'd be somewhere further along in both codes.
I don't know what the problem is but when you see Kilkenny city with similar population of 26K with 3 senior hurling teams....it's a sickner. Don't even have one hurling team in Portlaoise anywhere near the standard of any of the 3 Kilkenny city teams.
It's so disappointing.

Time for something fresh.  Would someone like Tommy Fitz be worth a go? Got good experience under Eddie and up in St Thomas's.

Now that Laois footballers won't be playing Meath as part of a double header with hurlers game with Wexford you think some common sense would prevail and switch the minor to be the curtain raiser.

It was the same two weeks ago. Laois played Kildare in minor/U20 hurling on the same day in different venues. Both should have in just in Newbridge. GAA really don't do themselves favours with promoting the game.

Anyone know of any broadcast or stream for the Dublin match? Thanks. Raging I can't get in to it.

Trumera will have their work cut out for them against Maynooth. They are really a kildare senior team,  back to back intermediate for them over Naas. The promotion to senior is stupid in kildare,  they got caught in promotion game a few days after celebrating 2020 win. Tadgh Forde, cathal mccabe  and David Qualter are the main men to be minding.

I think Ched's excuse of this being a young team is wearing thin when you look to what Waterford are doing. Frustrating, having said that a couple of breaks didn't go our way at critical times. Attention turns to the back door with Cork, Clare, Wexford & Westmeath you couldn't be too confident.

I'd imagine he's probably worn out.  Hurling late in the year with cb and all winter with IT carlow and straight back into inter county. A few weeks off for a physical and mental break from hurling would do him well.
