Quote from: Willywong on August 24, 2025, 08:27:25 AMTell me this.....Do ones from Trillick and Ballygawley know there's life outside their out parish?? The boring c***ts never leave? When was the last senior from either club to leave then more than two weeks?
Has Peter Og McCartan not went to America for last 3 or 4 years? In nearly certain he goes to the cousins club in Philly.

Quote from: URNEY SNIPER LAD_00 on August 06, 2025, 10:54:52 AMUrney only team to stop cookstown now. urney full outfit is hard to beat. Dismantled Derrydresk on Sunday. Ran the bench last 20 mins.

Spot on.
Urney is the the only obstacle between Cookstown and the All Ireland Junior club

They did put their reserves out of the championship  ;D

Quote from: Grace Murphy on July 28, 2025, 05:49:47 PMCookstown will romp to the Intermediate B Double then intermediate double next year with all the players Jayo is blooding. Man's a genius and fair play to him - inside man not taking a penny and might even plaster a few walls in the down time unlike Clogher paying a ransom to a couple of men who jumped ship on Gortin.

Up the Rocks Mucker.

If Urney reserves can beat them in the championship, maybe the Junior Championship isn't such a sure thing?

Quote from: skeog on May 03, 2025, 02:00:33 PMUrney struggling would fear they may need to amalgamate.

They'd be a concern alright but don't know who'd have them!

All joking aside, the divisional split doesn't seem to have helped them. Tatts look in control of it as expected.

I remember the night he died I was nearly home from work and Absolute Radio announced they were playing Bat Out of Hell in its entirety...kept driving until it finished. Picking 3 was an injustice to the master of the Power Ballad.

Quote from: ShutterinbyDayGAAbyNight on April 25, 2025, 12:38:14 PM4/5 Division 3A reserve games conceded today for the start of the league. Not ideal

Think that will be standard order in 3a. Although a 6.15 start time is a bit of a joke for grown men.

Fancy Tatts to walk that with Derrytresk/Clan Na Gael falling in behind them. Great to have the club season up ans running. Heading to Omagh and Tatts.

Quote from: GTP on February 28, 2025, 10:03:50 PMI read it as you can take a solo and go within 4m. If you are outside the 4m it goes back for a conventional free to the same team.
I am sure we will find out at the weekend when everyone including referees will definitely know what the rules are.

You can pass the ball to someone when fouled to take solo and go. This has to be within 4 metres. He can then take 4 metres before having a solo. So taking them potentially 8m up the field without contact, mental rule.

Quote from: TwoUpTwoDown on February 14, 2025, 09:04:52 PMSeen details handed out to junior clubs during the week. With the new 3 and 3A structure, they are going for 8teams in 3 and 10teams in 3A. Surely that makes absolutely no sense? Why not 9 and 9? Instead the teams in 3 have 14 games and the teams in 3A have 18 games, including 5 in 15 days, with the last of those being 13 days out from the championship.

I appreciate organising of fixtures isn't easy, but this is a bit of a nonsense.

Did the clubs not play for 'top 8' last year to be in 3A? Can't just change that now because omagh is entering a 3rds team.

I get your point completely, but you have the perceived weaker teams playing a bagful of fixtures leading up to championship and the stronger teams not under the same pressure. Strikes me as being unnecessarily unfair, but maybe that's just me.

Just do 9 and 9. Had Omagh been in the division last year, that's what they would have done I'm sure.

Preseason Cups - starts Saturday 15th March

Division 1 & Division 2 will be combined - 8 groups of 4 teams (2 Div 1 & 2 Div 2 per group)

Top 8 will play in quarter-finals for Jim Devlin Cup, bottom 8 will play in quarter-finals for Frank O'Neill Cup

Division 3 combined - 2 groups of 4 and 2 groups of 5 (TBC)
Top 4 will play in semi-finals for McGarrity Cup

Fixtures will run week-on-week from 15th March, excluding Easter Weekend.
Finals are scheduled for 26th/27th April.

All County League - starts weekend 9/11th May

No July break being set down by the CCC in 2025.

The no break has its pros and cons. Means lads can't plan a break but should also cut down the 2 games in 3 days nonsense.

Pre season comps will be important this year with the impact of new rules. Did the confirm the 3a and 3b structure?

Really can't be understated how valuable footage like this is and even if not operating at the higher eschalons good quality archive footage of club life is gold dust, as a repository of club life, memories and people back in the day

God that 2002 Ulster Championship was some run. Those Cross games were battles. Filthy hit on Canavan by Francie in the first game.
