But they are the ones being cagey and using words like 'unhealthy' and 'very personal' implies so much.

If these issues are serious enough to cause a mass walk-out in the first place they should surely let their own team-mates or the liaison officer know??

The timeline that we have seems to be it became unsafe, unhealthy and not nice all of a sudden. Getting on to your own team-mates to drop off and forfeit a game is hardly helping their case, or making for a good 'environment'.

I usually am a 'jury is out' man on these things, but only one side has given a clear side of events and that was Leahy. If something was so serious that it forced half a squad out, they should be fuckin screaming blue murder and Leahy and his team should be ran from the association.
And yet we wait...and still we hear whispers and implications...
again if rumours are to be believed is because its a very delicate subject which publicizing would  possibly being non football people and non football related matters into full view . which would be unfair but they still want to get the point across that they found the situation unacceptable .
they should have choosen their words better as those work are normally used a code for sex abuse which is not the case I believe

Enlighten us to these rumours then - You're making very little sense with your replies
Sounds like saying enough to keep casting aspirations on the management team, without giving any actual information.

A bluffer then

Kilcoo 1
CPN 1
Burren 2
Mayobridge 0
Loughinisland 0
Liatrom 0
D Cross 1
Saul 0
Bredagh 0

Of the 9 teams left in both the senior and junior championship only 5 players from those teams made up part of the county squad. With only 2 players starting against Cavan. A very low number considering Downpatrick had 5 players alone on the extended panel.

Intermediate ^^^ - But I would give Pierce Laverty of Saul a run in McKenna cup is if I was Tally, played against him a few times very good player and looked good for u20s this year

Hardstation has gone awfully quiet since that statement was released - Players brought the game into disrepute citing claims of player welfare issues when there weren't any.. Cora worried she was going to be cold on the bench only issue there was

Can't say I'm surprised to hear.. Sure these players were part of the u21 team that played Tipperary and wrote the names and numbers of Tip players girlfriends on there arms.. No class
This was supposed to be Conor Gormley on Alan Brogan.

Getting more Urban Mythy.
Do people even know other people's mobile phone numbers?
I know Tipp were very upset with some opposition antics after it, but don't know what it was.

Only this week Brogan was on some preview show and said that Gormley never sledged him, nor Ricey. But that it was Gormley who was mostly marking him, and of course he got plenty of physical stuff but nothing out of bounds. He said Ricey probably did sledge some Dubs, but that the only bad sledging he got from Tyrone was from the physio/doctor in the Battle of Omagh!

Nope was Tyrone u21s was the talk of our uni Gaelic team at the time as we had a few players who were friendly with Tipp ones and this is what they were at.

Great game in Kilcoo last night, really looking forward to the replay.
Did Kilcoo not win that one?

According to Kilcoo facebook they won by a point - Referee had it as a draw (missed a score) Surely there should be a scoreboard working at the game?? Scenes of Meath/Antrim in Christy Ring a few years ago about it

Most gaa grounds have far too high a capacity, including croker. Any stadium is devoid of atmosphere unless its full or close to it, and it has a negative impact on the games and experience.

There is no need for a 38k capacity venue - as stated, with that capacity, its primary use will be (and is intended to be) a concert venue generating income for the gaa.

Develop a top class ground, with facilities to nurture the game and importantly in a divided city, the promotion of it (we may scoff at corporate entertainment, but the rugger gleans a big following from coporate events on friday night, all of which promote the game to an audience who otherwise wouldnt be involved - this is much more important for gaa than it is for rugby) but 20k capacity is plenty, forget about turning it into another white elephant.

It was being developed as a provincial stadium thats why they had so large a capacity, wasn't Antrim saying they'll fill it out every week but Ulster GAA to host Ulster Finals

Is it just me or is there something dodgy about it?

Nothing dodgy about it, Welders set it on fire by accident - were doing work on the 5th floor and something caught fire, thats the word from few of the primark staff that were out on the street yesterday

Think he means Monaghan are miles ahead of Down - like Spurs are West Ham.. Why Would Potchettino/O'Rourke be interested

8 groups of 4, groups made up of 1 team from each division in the league. Top two in each group through to knockout, bottom two to 2nd tier competition. League which is already brilliant will step up more because there's more significance, every team still has a chance at the Sam McGuire, more knockout games, seeded so cream should rise to the top ensuring top game at the latter stages but there's still a chance of a team going deep.

I'd agree with this one, Also when it gets too the knockout stages - Stage a 2nd Tier game with a 1st Tier Game

8 Stadiums Needed then - Portaoise, Clones,  Páirc Uí Chaoimh, Gaelic Grounds, Croke Park, Casement (when its finally built), Pearse Stadium etc..

Means football around the country and also give 2nd tier teams exposure as they'll be played with 1st Tier games so TV camera's will be there to show games (TG4 maybe get the rights) and highlights of the 2nd competition

I've had enough.

So where does the highly egotistical and self professed coaching guru go now? First club dumped out of the senior championship last night with a customary defensive performance when I always thought that you actually needed to score to win games. A few weeks ago according to him Down needed to modernise and he was the man to do it but now he has come up with the old excuse that the County Board don't want him, does he want people to beg him to do it? Him pushing the county players to put it in the press that they really wanted him was a really pathetic way about doing things. I tell you what if I was on the receiving end of some of his very mouthy instructions he was roaring last night, fffing his own players left right and centre then expecting them to work for him, then I would be telling him where to go. I also thought that he knew it all but he puts on a hat to hide the fact that he is miked up to someone in the stand, it obviously didn't work too well either. So it looks like he'll be heading back to Carlow with his tail between his legs as more than likely Cavan will be going in house after himself and Aidan O'Rourke won't get that job by all accounts. You wouldn't be too happy as a Carlow man if your coach was trying to move away when a few months ago during all the Carlow rising bullshit he had committed to another year and they were going to kill dead things in Division 3 then suddenly he doesn't fancy it. What is he all about? I know one thing, I would not have paid into Newry or followed Down all over Ireland if I thought that the shit I have watched Ballyholland play over the last few years was the same style that Down would be playing with him as a coach. It's a blessing he won't be involved with us.

Have you said to him you've had enough? Or just come on here to be an anonymous troll??

The loyalist blogger Jamie Bryson has claimed he was the man arrested and later released by the PSNI on Thursday.

The PSNI said the arrest was connected to an investigation into criminality linked to the UVF in east Belfast.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-45213991

"They said the 28-year-old man, arrested in north Down, was being questioned on suspicion of unlawfully supplying door staff following searches in Bangor, Donaghadee and Newtownards."

Supplying door staff, what does that even mean?

Here, put this dodgy bouncer on the payroll???

Basically - Some paramilitary 'owned' clubs in the city using members as bouncers, Racketeering basically..
