Quote from: Tyrone95 on December 09, 2023, 11:03:53 AMWill Healy Park withstand the rain for tomorrows league final?? I would say Dromore / Killyclogher should be prepared for an 11th hour phonecall.
Predictions for the final.. ?

Dromore are running the Paul McGirr so may not be willing to see their pitch cut up by Trillick & Carrickmore.

Quote from: imtommygunn on December 06, 2023, 10:05:57 PMWtf is going on with the Rwandan scheme that the British government are pushing for. So starmer stands up in parliament today and says that the maximum it can take is one hundred and for this one hundred they take in one hundred from Rwanda? Them tories should be locked up. Never mind the premise of this thing in the first place the sheer lies that go on with them is off the chart.

Smoke and mirrors. Feed the Brit public the line - aren't we great at tackling all these foreign people coming into our country? A large section of the British lap this shite up. Meanwhile, some Tory is pocketing a fortune while they have distracted everyone to look over there.

Rwanda pretty rich in natural resources so wonder if its tied in some way to that. They seemed to talk a lot about it developing etc. Brit public to foot the bill for the first 5 years of anyone deported to rwanda. Its all electioneering shite. There is accommodation for what 2 boat loads ffs. Plus if they committ a crime whilst there they can be deported back from Rwanda. Brexit still killing the tories. Not long now.....

Of course it is related to Rwandan resources and the now higher bar for UK visas. They want to give UK passports to 100 wealthy Rwandans for every 100 boat people.
It doesn't matter that the wealth came from slavery in cobalt mines or supplying arms to the M23.

Are they not getting enough half time draws? I hope it's thrown out without further discussion. Why would anyone tamper with the best club championship in Ireland?

A heads gone moment

May well have hit the nail on the head here. There can't be any other reason for them to motion that other than the reason of gathering more income with games.  On the football front they wouldn't even come out of a group stage most years & the only chance they have of nipping a team in the top 7/8 now is by a straight knockout.  They do have some good youth coming through but still a long way of the top teams.

With new lights being installed in Dungannon they should lose their monopoly on Friday night championship games.

makes no sense with tyrone minors out in march and likely one of the local schools still in Mcrory/hogan..

is this to coincide with other counties?

Are county minors u17?
mcrory is u19 or u19.5 so neither directly coincide with u18.

This year we have minors still ongoing with lads already away at college.

It makes sense and was traditional to have u14 and u18 first with u16 during the summer, after GCSE's finished.

Quote from: LC on September 16, 2023, 01:38:58 PMDid a bit of reading over holidays so realise it would be a good habit to get into again.  Was thinking of getting an Amazon Kindle but I see you can get an Amazon Fire for similar money which seems to be similar to an ipad plus will also act as a Kindle.  No big expert on tech stuff so just wondering why is the Kindle on its own (16GB) is similar money even though it only does one thing.

The kindle itself uses a different screen technology to more closely mimic reading a real book, it is not backlit so you can't read in the dark.

The Kindle Fire is or used to be limited in the software and apps you could load.

Quote from: redzone on December 01, 2023, 11:04:57 AMRichard Thornton has already managed Coaisland.
What's the view in Kildress on Tracey driving up the road to manage Cookstown and his own club are without a manager.
Another strange one is Moortown paying James Conway with Chris Lawn helping out. Surely Lawn could take it on his own

Have you tried to manage and coach a team? Too much time
Go on tell me what extra James Conway will be doing compared to Chris Lawn

You need 2 men, a coach and manager. Can't have same man setting up training then talking to players etc. the role can be shared or separate
So you can't have the same man setting up training, taking the drills then talking to players. Don't think you know what your talking about.
Maybe someone who hasn't a clue might need help. Say Rafferty of Dungannon who got Holmes in to take the training. But Chris Lawn should be on his own with help from a coaches from inside the club. It's intermediate not a county team setup we are talking about.

How do you explain Jody Gormley & Peter McGinnity then or Horse & McKaigue or Ricey & McIver. How are they different to the Moortown set up?
Big difference is Ricey needed McIver has he was away with cavan. Horse same Louth. Moortown don't need Conway. Chris Lawn more than capable of doing it on his own.
Anyone who trys to tell me that a manager can't manage and coach at the same time is wrong. Yes he will definitely need help and split the training up but at the end of the day to many people complicate it

And Jody needed Peter?

Who is in it?
Trillick/Dromore v ?

Yes Dromore refused to take penalties at the end of ET apparently, but they havent been kicked out of the competition unlike other teams who've done the same previously. Would they have any powerful connections in the county board ?

Which other teams in Tyrone were kicked out of the a competition after refusing to take penalties?

https://teamtalkmag.com/under-13-grade-1-league-final/

Both teams put out, game wasn't replayed.

Did Eglish and Carrickmore not just share the title that year?

1) on your own
2) with another first team member
3) with a squad member
4) with a squad member from the neighbouring parish
5) with a woman (over 40)
6) with a woman (under 40)
7) with a sheep
8 ) nun of the above
9) all the above

But only with management approval.

A quickie at best they'll approve? certainly no bondage or foreplay allowed.

I would have thought the Physio would be expecting an extensive warm up to prevent injury.
GPS should be attached and it has to be uploaded to the group.

May have pulled the trigger on this too quick. Had heard it Saturday morning. Then saw Niall Gartland tweet so assumed safe to share but now tweet gone so not sure what's goin on.  :(

I think Gormey may be waiting to see what Carmens current management decide as he is bound to be in with a shout if they leave after the league is finished

Roddy is never far away on all things carmen.
So we are saying Gormley is courting kildress but is waiting on an offer from Carmen.

Let's see how this plays out
Ye might get him in the rebound if his true love turns him down.

Freedom of movement within the EU is the portability of qualifications and the freedom to work anywhere within the EU. There is no right to move for the sake of selecting the best healthcare or welfare system.

The UK did not or pretended they could not control their borders and Brexit was the result.

A Country can control its own borders within the EU. Ireland is in a better position than most in that we are an Island, though it is complicated by the Common travel area.

However to really control our borders we would a national identity system such as ID cards and many of those most against immigration would be equally against at the Government implementing such a system of monitoring the population.
