Absolutely. Almost unanimous agreement among the clubs. Most players and coaches I've spoken to are delighted to be playing league football. Let's hope Covid gives us a clear run at it

Players need to be consulted on new management, no disrespect to those players out there today but we need to get the best players in the County back involved. Need to know why there are so many opt outs and what will it take to get them back. Do they oppose a regimented structure without the freedoms to express themselves? We need to appoint someone who will get the best out of the players rather than shoehorn them into something that they are not.

Which players are you going to consult on management. The ones there that you don't rate or every adult player in the county. Unworkable way of appointing a management set up

Not much punishment for breaking Covid regulations.....getting the vital games at home!!

The reason they get home game is because they had less designated home games in group stage. Even if they had not been caught breaking the rules they would only have had 1 game at home as per draw. This was the rules at the outset.
The difference between Down Dublin, Cork and  Monaghan and 28 other counties is they got caught and the others who were flouting regulations didn't .
The four got their punishment and served it. Why should it be altered now to suit someone else's agenda.
Breaking the regulations was wrong but not only for those caught. The hypocrisy surrounding this is shocking

See Ford have announced new management team of Conor Gribben, Chris Brannigan and Ambrose Rogers.

Great episode of laochra gael on tg4 tonight. Pete mcgrath is some man for one man, he brought some great days to the county. He's given unreal service to Down gaa and gaa as a whole.

Absolutely fantastic show with great memories.

Some of claimants are legit but it's obvious some are not . Regardless of Nolan , it's more incompetence at the top but yet no one seems to be held to account . We really are run by a crowd of amateurs

What evidence do you have to say some are not legit? All had to submit certified accounts.

Armagh should've had 1 if not 2 AI's before 2002. Bumpy O'Hagan kicked one into the keepers arms against Kerry when row Z would've done. Cost Armagh an AI that decision.

Oh to be back in the mid 00's. In 2005 there was some titanic battles. The two best teams Ireland had ever seen up to that point. Only Dublin since have eclipsed them.
Seriously deluded. The best teams ever? Best two teams that year possibly but constantly wallowing in that rose tinted guff is nonsensical

Agree Seafoid but strategic thinking isn't something that is readily associated with hardline loyalist such as DUP and their paramilitary friends.
Not only is US deal under threat but I imagine the Free Trade deal with EU or elements of it must be under threat.

So Loyalist Paramilitaries have withdrawn support for GFA until NI Protocol is scrapped. This will all play well for Unionism and UK Govt in short term as they can blame EU.
Think it's called Project Fear

So far, everything Johnson has done has boosted the drive in support for independence.  Appointing Cummings, the brains behind the Brexit campaign,  into a  save the union campaign in a country which has voted 62% to remain,  would likely inspire a particular revolting effect. Recent polls in Scotland indicate that a solid 63% would vote in a referendum  to return to the EU.

Certainly wouldn't see Cummings as the Face of anti independence campaign, but it is the work that the likes of him and the Steve Bannons of the world do in the dark recesses and with manipulation of the media and social media that has proved to be so effective in championing division and lies that would be of concern

The whole thing will get very messy. This particular brand of conservatism will plumb any depths for their own agenda and know they will get away with it. None of them are held to account and no doubt Cummings and his like are in the background.
