Aside from manager salarys. I know the season is yet to be finished but have any managers parted company with their club already? Not sure on Munroes stance with Carmen if i'm honest.. Be surprised if he's chooses to continue into next year!

I believe Raymond has stepped down stating time commitment as the reason.  Not sure who will get the job know but i do thing we should keep it in house.  Big rebuilding process required so time has to be given to whoever gets it.  The youth is there so i am optimistic.
Cassidy would be in the crosshairs no doubt.

No chance. Carmen are going internal again. The current committee are not fans of external men it seems. I only hope the new guy stays a few years instead of guys leaving after one year.

Enlighten those inside Carrickmore then!
It must be over 30 years ago now since he played for Carrickmore and he would be in his early 40s now so I am assuming either it had something to do with were he went to secondary school.

Barry played underage for Carrickmore and lives in Carrickmore parish. I have no idea why he opted for Greencastle

As Mountfield is in Cappagh parish they wouldn't have been eligible to play for the Lough.
What is interesting to me is if the Lough had not of split from Carrickmore whether our 1 team parish would have won the Ulster Club ala Errigal Ciaran.

The only thing wrong with Carmens dressing rooms is that they are small. They are clean and well kept. I have heard there are plans to upgrade them but im not sure how you can make them bigger without developing out into the car park.

.....and only for this club members and workers there would be no county team. It is a problem we will all have to deal with in the future. Like it or not we have to reward the corporate bodies who fund our games and no one could possibly say players and backroom staff dont deserve tickets. We cried out for games out of Croke Park, so this is the downside

Errigal have the biggest pick of any club in Tyrone?

I'd say Omagh would run them close. Coalisland at stages can have up to 50 men out from what they tell me. Carrickmore used to be in this debate but men at that club could tell you better - think there was a football/hurling split some years ago caused a bit of bother. Don't think anyone else really gets close? Maybe Dromore?
Can't ever remember a fall out between the footballers and hurls in the past few years in fact it is probably stronger than ever now. Carmen had a thirds team for a couple of years but I think it was all older lads or very young. The older boys didn't want to train

Great result for Carrickmore today. Hopefully it kick starts the season for them. Any reports on it?
Clonoe may have been short a few today but it is a right while from we took 4 points of Clonoe. Carmen were always in control and should have won by a lot more. Having said that the penalty to put us 10 up! It was a penalty but if it was gave against my team i would feel a bit browned off.
Fintan McClure has some leap on him.

Great win for our u16 team last night in Dromore to win the Grade 1 championship - played in auful conditions. Underage football in our club has been given huge time and effort this last 4/5 years - here's hoping this can develop to senior level in the near future. It was mentioned last night that across both codes/ladies and mens- carmen has seen 20 underage titles grace the steps of Quinn's corner!
20 titles in 4 years I am told.
It wont guarantee senior success for Carmen but perhaps the eye was taken of the ball when the senior men and ladies were winning around them. A fairly young committee this past few years has given a decent injection to club life not only on the pitch. But it is on the pitch were we want to be winning and for how long will underage success keep the supporters happy.

Who are the likely newcomers next year?

With Justy and Sean Cavanagh retiring and McGeary in the England next year you would imagine there will be a few places up for grabs.

Grugan and McLaughlin of Omagh might be brought in. Will Tierney be brought back in?

Of last year's u-21s McKernan is the most likely addition. Ruairi Sludden and Mark Kavanagh would be two more options but they wouldn't really give us anything we don't already have.

I'd imagine we'll see 7 or 8 new faces for the O'Fiach and McKenna Cups. There's a good few lads who have been round a few years now without really making much of an impact and they must be questioning things.
Mark Kavanagh. I dont think he was guaranteed his place on the Errigal team at the end of the year. Peter Og took his place in the league final did he not and he was replaced in the County Final fairly early in the second half.

I never heard Dinkys name but the other 3 are in. I am genuinely surprised by this and someone somewhere has a bit of a power of persuasion. Raymond would put passion in a nun and the other two are smart guys. I dont imagine a coach would be required in that set up

Miracles can happen. I would guess Carmen's next manager will not be a short fix. It may well be younger lads than Raymond.
