Lads its only a bit of craic,  Dont take it too seriously.  Admittedly theres a lot of hype on the shoulders of this Fianna team but on sunday night it will all be justified.

The Fiannas on fire!!!!
Rise up young Fianna and take your place
alongside your ancestors on the O Neill Cup chase
No Errigal or Carmen to stand in your way
Its lowly village teams that you'll have to play.
beware a Donaghmore team full of flair
they'll try to trick you into their lair
and a final v Dromore should come down to the wire
but its 2007, the fianna, the fianna's on fire!!!

some very interesting replies there, and ill note them for next years all ireland ;)
second scenario and feel free to add scenarios were you would have done things differently from your manager:

The week before the quarter final of the championship its a local league derby and its thick as hell and your midfielder, the star of your show so far takes a swing at the young cleg whos marking him, knocking him out..... Hes carried off on a door.  The crowd are howling for blood, the referee didnt see it but has been told by a non neutral opposition linemans that big Danny struck and hasta go.  The ref cant send him off obviously but throws up a yellow card to howls of derision from the Clonoe supporters on the balcony, lectures big Danny and tells him if he breathes again hes off.  The rivals are out of the championship and you need the league points to stay in touch.  Big 35 year old Nallion the hallion is warming up along the line and you can hear the snorts and snarls outta him.  Do you sub the big lad before they bring on big Nallion the hallion for his younger flattened cousin with the championship in mind and you risk the league points - 2points up with 20 to play.  Or do you let it flow.

I would like to ask all Fianna supporters to put the flags up and out the windows and get the place looking like we are  on a championship run.

Right would be managers:
test no 1:
The scenario: You are 2 points up with 5 minutes to go in a very tense championship first round game contest  and the opposition no 6 strikes, Bang, off he goes straight red.
Background:  They are cup holders with a formidable attack and a 6 '5 full forward and oodlums of experience.  2 nippy corner forwards one who has been kept out of the game so far, but they are experienced.  You are managing a very inexperienced team who have been playing out of their shirts.
Quandary:
Rhythm of the game will be upset by the loss of the number 6 who has been their best player so far.  How do you choose to close it out with the extra man?

I think its fir to say that Mc Keever was that good a corner back that there was days he could break even wwith the great PTG. but Peter had as many good days over him as vice versa.  In Gaelic Football even the greatest ever have not 100% records.  History will show Canavan post  96 reinvented himself and brought a more physical aspect to his game.  He had to he was beiong kicked up and down the fields of Ireland without any of the modern day protection afforded.  It was always alleged that Mc Eneany disliked Canavan and he would have a lot to do to get a free.  If he lad to become a little more graphic when he was getting kicked up and down fields then that may have been the reason why.  Cnanav was the master lads, Dont let the fact hes off duty at the moment change your perspective on him.  As fo Gooch I seen that incident.  He lay down looking a man sent off.  He got his hair ruffled by big Packie who was in goals that day.  No eye incident whatsoever

I dont talk outside the Tyrone football thread because Ill piss people off.  I have some views which will probably be unpopular,  I have no say normally but ill say this now and I dont care who is offended.  Cork didnt hand Kerry a handy all Ireland  --  Tyrone did.  If Tyrone managers and teams are going to point to injuries each year and use it as an excuse then they have only themselves to blame.  Tyrone proved they are every bit as good as kerry in 2003 and reinvented themselves in 05 with a number of key personnell changes.  in 06 and 07 from early season we were either waiting on guys coming back or bemoaning their loss.  O Neill dooher and Mc Guigan should have been out of the panel until they were fit again and then make the tough call when they prove their fitness and form as well on whether its a man in and man out for them.   We forgot about the many good young players in Tyrone, guys who were devastating in the the Mc kenna cups, guys who have youth ai medals in their back pockets but who havent been shown managerial faith since.  Kerry are unbelievably going for a 3 in a row that should have been Tyrones wont.  We didnt appear back at the dinner table and obviously had our fill in 03 and 05.  Tyrone players have lost their appetitie for it.  Did you hear the Kerry players talking about pride in the jersey and their luck at being nborn in Kerry and how they are going for 3 in a row next year.  What a credit to their county. As far as Tyrone players are concenred I would say, question yourselves this year but for the good of Tyrone football move aside if you dont feel its ther for you next Spring.    Theres meaner and keener in Tyrone to take your place.  As a Tyrone man with some Kerry blood in him (the reverse of Donaghy and without the talent)  Congratulations to kerry and we are sorry for standing you up, but we hope to catch up with you on the next big date. Thansk for not being too sentimental about missing us.
