100% of us think the same - what's to discuss?

My initial post was that these people shold be burned alive.

I'm happy to see that eveyone agrees with me.

The hyperlink was my justification for my opinion and not the source of the thread.

Do youthink we should ignore it?

This discussion board gives us an opportunity to voice our outrage at wrong doings from where ever they may happen.

Tyrone / Re: Tyrone Club Football and Hurling

QuoteHopefully Greencastle's on the Friday night. My best mate is getting married on the Saturday and I'd miss the game otherwise.

Either you are or you are'nt a Greencastle fan.

No excuses.

If he/she really is your best mate, they would understand you leaving during the speeches to go and see your heroes get their asses whipped by Moortown

GAA Discussion / Re: Meath Fans Behaviour
August 06, 2007, 02:09:39 AM
Congratulations Meath on their win over Tyrone on Satuday. I sat with my family in the Cusack Stand, in what was a genarally mixed selection of Tyrone, Cork, Meath & Sligo fans.

During the game the Meath fans were vociferous in their support and magnanimous in their victory, as they were in 1996.

I have also sat among Dublin fans on similar occasions, (1995 All Ireland Final & 2005 All Ireland Quarter Final) they were as magnanimous as their neighbours in both victory and defeat.

While I don't believe that either set of supporters are "Scumbags", I feel that a minority of the Meath supporters let themselves down by their taunting of the opposition supporters as they leave Croke Park & their displays of anti-Dublin feeling after the match.

Some of the chants I heard after the game, make me fear we are becoming more like soccer fans than gaelic fans

It must be Paddy Bradley, he hasn't won an All Ireland medal, an Ulster Championship Medal, a National League Medal, A McKenna Cup Medal or an All-Star. Therefore he must be an unknown. But if he doesn't win player of the year, he may become the greatest player not to have won anything

He made Joe Montana & Jerry Rice the sporting double act of the 1990's.

He also helped to make channel 4 watchable on sunday nights

May he rest in peace.

GAA Discussion / Re: monaghan v donegal

I did not see the game yesterday but if Monaghan play like they did in the Ulster final...hitting hard and throwing their bodies around to good effect they will be a handful for any team that's left. The problem now will be the hype and expectations from their supporters that will have to be controlled somehow before it affects the team's performance in the next game.

QuoteIn truth, i don't think Monaghan's supporters are too demanding - nor do we expect miracles. Don't get me wrong, i think Monaghan can go further and will put up a mighty challenge for whoever they meet, but there's no unrealistic expectations.

I would love to see them progress... as I said they just need to keep their style of play and you might be suprised how far they go.
It is time to put up or shut up for Monaghan. The underdog tag has worn a bit thin at this stage. Either you have ambitions for an all ireland or you don't.

Gallant losers are just that "LOSERS"

Don't believe the hype, Monaghan are the same as Fermanagh, a few back door wins will help improve their self esteem. But when it comes to the business end of the championship they will be found lacking. By all means enjoy your victory, but leave it to the big boys to decide where Sam resides for the next 12 months. With any luck you will be able to see him as he travels through Monaghan town & Emyvale on his way to Aughnacloy and another 12 months with Cuthbert

GAA Discussion / Re: Joe Kernan Resigns
July 18, 2007, 11:52:16 PM
Joe Kernan has always given his all to Armagh both as a player and as a manager. As a Tyrone fan I have always been a little bit envious of his achievements and his ability to to make the sum of the parts greater than than the individual talents.

We should wish him all the best in the future, but I dont believe he will manage any other County team as I think his motivation has always been sucess for Armagh.

Well done Joe, you have helped to make Ulster football a standard to be achieved through out Ireland, rather than a province simply to make up the numbers.

I believe that more southern journalists, pundits & critics will welcome his resignation than we Ulster gaels.

Skips are a snack from the UK; they were first launched in 1974, as Prawn Cocktail flavour. The snacks are made by United Biscuits and sold under the KP brand. Since 2005 they have been available in Bacon and Cheese flavours in addition to the more traditional Prawn. Other flavours, such as picked onion, have been available in the past

QuoteW**king is also legal and more popular than smoking, but I don't see why it should be allowed in pubs.
