Why would you have a problem with either party? it's a free labour market. UR are entitled to try to hire someone they see as a good fit for them and PD is entitled to do what he feels is best for his career.

Exactly there should be no issues with anyone. Ulster Rugby is bigger and better job.

Hes done a great job and a great challenge for someone else to come in and live up to what went before

Guys what is the best place in Ireland for a stag these days? Group of 15 or so in October?

It would surely vary depending on your age, and whether you want into nightclubs.

30 range and probably would like to end up in a late bar/nightclub

Missed the Under 20 game last night and hearing D Canavan orchestrated everything, couple of lovely scores apparently? Any reports on who else stood out?

Job done in the first half and some lovely scores. Richard Donnelly had a great game but not really too much to read into it.

Our attacking play was sharp and crisp, our finishing was good but it was easy out there, we won't be getting that type of time and space on the ball from here on in.

Antrim had a few very good ball carriers in the middle of the pitch and it was a cause for concern the openings on goal they created when they moved the ball directly and ran at us. Cavanagh didn't play as a sweeper today, he had a solid enough game but we looked very open at the back.

We have a few injuries at the minute, I'm not sure how serious but we had the likes of McGeary, Meyler, Kennedy, McKernan and Mulgrew not involved.

I was a bit disappointed in Grugan's showing, was hoping he could state a real claim but he made a few mistakes on the ball and didn't really impose himself too much otherwise.

Great to see Skeet so sharp after a serious injury.

Agree Grugan missed a shot and couple of mistakes and was generally quiet. He's been out a while so hope he keeps giving it a go as plenty of ability. Sludden needs a big game next day out I feel. Hampsey carrying an injury?

The white horse was Shadowfax and clearly Ayra is going east into a Middle Earth/Westoros spin off.  8)

Opinions in lessons? Swinging ok atm but inconsistent and grip/swing off a bit, previously 14 handicapper but that was about 10 years ago. Lessons worth it?

Dare i say it, but is Darragh Canavan going to be a better player than his father?

Might be a 'better player'. Will never have the same holding in the game. That's just something that'll hang over him forever.

Was he playing at the weekend?

Not sure who was better but Stevie was the more dangerous and the one you didnt want to be on the end of the passes

I think from a defensive point of view Tyrone have been much better of in the last two games with Rory Brennan and Michael Cassidy over Tiernan McCann. Over the last few years McCanns defensive abilities could be questioned, and in the big games against the big teams they have been exposed and have contributed towards our defeats. Just think if we are serious about All Irelands we need a better defensive option than Tiernan in the half back line.
Thats not to say he couldn't offer more further up the field, wing forward potentially ahead of Meyler (as someone said has limited footballing ability) as he does offer plenty in terms of attacking output.

Agree Meyler needs to add scores to his game, i think he is capable. I wouldnt be as critical of McCann but a half forward role would be interesting as he has been able to add scores to his game now
