GAA Discussion / Re: Eamonn Fitz. Not up to his ratings?
September 22, 2015, 06:56:07 PM
I think Fitz got a little bit confident with his tactics, especially now that they are comparing him to Billy Morgan and his records as manager. Fitzmaurice shouldn't be complacent, though.

What do you guys think that Kerry's Fitz is now within 70 minutes of Cork's Billy Morgan's managerial feat, which was a back-to-back win at All-Irelands?

For me, there's nothing wrong with it. Having back to back victories is a long overdue, though.

They say six Dublin and Kerry players are in the race for the title. But only three players will receive the nomination.

Who do you think might get the title?  ;D

DUBLIN, MAYO, KERRY, Galway, Tipperary and Kilkenny players are all in the running for the GAA-GPA Opel Player of the month awards for August.

Dublin's Jack McCaffrey, Mayo's Lee Keegan and Kerry's Stephen O'Brien will fight it out for the football award.

While Galway's David Burke, Tipperary's Seamus Callanan and Kilkenny's TJ Reid will battle for the hurling honour.

The winners will be chosen by the inter-county playing body and will be announced on Thursday 10 September.

Hurling Discussion / Kilkenny's Jackie Tyrrell retiring?

Any thoughts about his retirement?

This is a good amendment! Senior football requires stronger stamina, hence, this rule will avoid youngsters to experience early physical and mental stresses they might encounter during the game.

I am rooting for Galway here! It's only my prediction, though.  :D

Trophies and titles wise, Kilkenny are way too far and better than Galway. But Galway can do wonders! With their recent Leinster and Walsh Cup victories, I bet, the victory momentum is still present. I just hope their consistency is more apparent than whatever pressure they might feel against the defending champions.  ;D
