If he was still a county captain The GPA would have been all over it making sure he was sorted out but once you become a humble club player they dont want to know.

Delighted to see Liverpool's number 9 put 2 past Real today. You can't help but root for the guy.

Whatever about the medals he may have won in Chelsea he's only ever felt at home in Madrid and Liverpool. He would have been worth a punt I reckon if Madrid hadn't come in for him.
Agree with this - think we should have took a punt on him especially for little money outlay.
Can someone explain the following;
Ben Arfa cannot sign for Nice as he will have played for 3 clubs in 1 season (Newcastle, Hull and Nice) but Torres can do it and he played for AC, Chelsea and AM
How does this rule work or does it apply differently in each country....

Enda Muldoon (Derry), Paddy Bradley (Derry), Ciaran McDonald (Mayo) should all be on that team. Bradley was/is better than both Brown and Forde and did it consistently year in year out. McDonald would have a strong argument for best 15 of this millenium and Muldoon was class personified. Michael Meehan should be in there too, had a great 5 or 6 seasons. Why no mention of Keith Higgins, another definite starter.

When they were worth an absolute fortune, many of those who bought houses and worked through them were ignored time and time again with a plethora of issues / complaints. You think they will gain a conscious now IF they fluke a few mil from the Ulster Bank.....2 hopes
But it does not tackle that they are under pressure in their community to address the issue of men losing out on wages. I wouldn't expect back payment ( not yet and maybe not ever) but they would be seen to be trying to make amends if they went to re-hire those workmen that lost out.
No chance of those that bought houses being recompensed. Not sure how you thought I was advocating a 'brewsters millions' type of splurge !
They didn't give a fiddlers f**k for the subbies who worked for them when they making their money so where do you think this sense of loyalty is going to surface from?
You obv don't understand what Bannside or myself are getting at here.

Bikers are a very rare breed,i work with one.I suppose saying that racing to them is what gaa is to me but it goes way beyond that but its very hard not to have massive respect for them.
Does he have young children? if so I personally think that he is being very selfish. Every time he gets on his bike to race, he is risking leaving his children with no father. I find that very hard to comprehend.

Did anyone watch last nights documentary on the Dunlops?I am not really a fan of motorsport but it was a fantastic program which was very difficult to watch at times.
Yea, watched the show or at least the majority of it. Have zero interest in motorsport but my wife told me it was on and with nothing else on I watched it. I actually remember playing a league game when word came through as it was ending that Joey had died and people were shocked and they were all GAA men and I couldn't believe the amount of men who had motor racing knowledge. I had a former manager who is a big GAA personality who goes to all the top bike races and swears by them as the best events about.. However, the programme was a great watch and hard to fathom the speed these guys get up to and the thrill they get out of it. Half of me thinks they are very selfish and the other half thinks they are to be admired as it is a crazy sport raced at crazy speeds...

He didn't try to grab him by the gonads.
He tried to pinch him.
Which, in a way, is much much worse.
