The silence is deafening on this one lads. How could the massive dublin v meath encounter fail to attract more viewers than cork v waterford. See my post above on hype v quality.

I thought the waterford backs played well as a unit today and have come a long way even since last year. The 3rd cork goal was very soft and I cant understand why hennesy came off line for it. The first and second goal were great goals and would test any defence. Waterford are real contenders this year. Great game today- a match for the 04 munster final

Im afraid that the only thing the viewing figures will prove is that the population of Dublin/Meath is far greater than Cork/Waterford.

Any decent sportman and in particular Gaa fan would be disappointed not to be able to see both games. My personal view is that there will be more hype than quality in croker but more quality than hype in thurles so Ill be watchin the hurling live and recording the footie for later viewing.

Well this years munster champopnship isnt going to be won easy and the beauty is we've 2 more crackers before the final. Hard to analyse a game like that and a draw was once again the fair result but I still suspect that tipp are the better team but the best team doesnt always win and I feel limerick will take em at home next weekend. Replay on sat!

Punish Clare? What can they do to them if they are not in the competition? I dont think Clare will go this far and Mcdonagh is just blowing off steam. But who knows maybe Cork will join them.

I think Dublin are better off in the qualifiers. With due respect Kilkenny would destroy them in the final and set them back years and thats last thing Dublin hurling needs now. They will be in a leinster final in the next few years and will be better for it by playing as many top teams as possible. Group b in the qualifiers could be intersting this year and if they are good enough they will qulalify. All said a good weekend for hurling in genaral and a glimmer of hope for the future of leinster hurling.

Didlyi less of the patronising.
its that attitude where us hurling folk up north are looked down upon by the high and mighty which has the game in the state its in.
as John Crossey once said "just cause they talk with a Free State accent doesnt give them a right to win an all-ireland"

A ABU,

I was in no way slagin the antrim hurling contributors on this site. I would love nothing more than to see antrim or any other nothern team win an allireland hurling final, my point is that there are others on here who know nothing about hurling but feel that they can make judgement on the way the game has been played for decades. The rules of hurling do not need adjusting!

If anyone except the GAA themselves are blamed for this then the GAA will be just bowing to the media hype on this matter. Letting two psyched up teams leave their dessing rooms to meet in the tunnell outside is simply asking for trouble and the officilas at thurles should have dealt with this. The kind of scenes that resulted were typical fracas that break out regularly on big days on the fileld and no one gets the line. The problem here was they were allowed to meet earlier than usuall and please do not compare this with what happens in soccer matches as one would not be comparing like with like.
The game itself was a clean game and could have done with a bot more spice infact......and for the record, this site is for northern folk interest and others whos only interest in gaa, let alone hurling, is braging about their countys greatness. The thread on antrim hurling has more posts than all the other hurling threads put together...thats says it all. Please visit an fear rua,rebelgaa.com etc etc if you want a proper discussion on the small ball down south.

Spillane is always fast to highlight any negatives in hurling. Im glad that daly and O'Grady put him in his place and saw this incident for what it was worth.

One of the toughest games Ive seen in along while and great that waterford should come out on top showing that they can mathch teams physically aswell. They are serious contenders for the AI now but Kilkkenny are still lethal and could have nailed this game a few times today. Great day for hurling Congrats To Watreford

Redhands sarcasm in his questions leads me to give a straight answer for what is the best chamionship of them all. I think we will have a Limerick Waterford Final with the later to win. The Football... who cares!
