I would imagine that many of those who saw the incident would not be in a position to testify due to their immigration status.

GAA Discussion / Re: John Morrison for Cavan
September 14, 2011, 07:20:00 AM
I'm not qualified to comment on Morrison as a football coach however I know of a school where he came in and motivated children who were underachieving and demotivated to attain good A Level results.  To a person the students were very positive about an "outsider" who showed them many different ways to meet their potential.  If these methods work in a school they may have merit on a football pitch.

The Winding Stair, Pigs Ear, Thorntons, all great food and super value for lunch.  I'd pick Winding Stair for dinner value

Well done on great coverage.  I would have loved to been there. I played at the beach, the Polo Fields and Balboa but Treabsure Island seems a great step up in facilities.  I was reading a book ok the Irish in California and saw that St Marys College Moraga had a hurling team in the 50s. History may be repeating itself. Thanks for the footage

Well done, I tend to lurk now and enjoy your balanced view of all things except Tyrone football!  I look forward to your next milestone

TYP, you have a valid point and I have no doubt the Beeb thrives on personal prejudices.  However a gentle word of advice, ditch the red coat it makes you stand out.  Could have been worse they might have worked for the News of the World!!

Wasn't it Offaly that the Irish World wrote about the London team not even being offered a cup of tea after a national league game?

Packie Hughes, St Brendans, and landlord of The Boot Pub in Kings Cross has a chapter about him in the London story.

I have a place in Bundoran and had a Sky dish installed that gives me a lot of free channels without cost.  It was very reasonable.  The installer was from Belleek. If you are interested pm me

"It'll be tits, bums, QPR and roll your own fags". Quote from the editor of the Star or Sun when they started. As a past season ticket holder and teacher of a school 400 yards away from Loftus Road, I salute iruntherev and his dedication.

A bit like the alleged enrolment inflation in a Co Donegal secondary school about 10 years ago.  The ex principal is now back in Dublin.

Wanderer, thanks for that.  I have a direct debit coming out of my account every month for £25 for the Friends draw.  The County Board are still taking it, as of 2 August, and haven't communicated with me about the change.
