I think Cas is going to go for throat on sunday ..... ATTACK!

so who are tyrone missing? - Mickey Harte is playing with a full hand - if they cannot beat a depleted Derry team - then their is something
badly wrong.

I will be very surprised if its anything but close on sunday.  Its a derby game between bitter rivals - form and logic usually goes out the window.

As O'Neill correctly points out Tyrone in June is a different animal to that of Tyrone in August and Croker.  Although they definitely have more individual quality than Derry in a one off game this sunday anything could happen.  Cassidy has talked at length this season on the need to convert Derry into a championship quality squad capable of coping with the scenario they faced last year against Monaghan and now potentially on Sunday.  It perfectly set up for him to challenge his squad to illustrate where they stand.  I think we are in for an intriguing game, the cat and mouse game between the respective managers will be fascinating never mind what transpires on the pitch.
Look lad - Derry are missing a host of players - you tyronies are talking this game up big time. If Derry had the full team available - I would expect them to win - however sunday is going to be nothing more than a "holding action" for us.

not sure whether to take it at face value or not but heard today that kevin mccloy may not start on sunday, not injured, purely tactical. also heard you o'boyle from lavey was being considered for a slot up front. could be complete bullsh1t but maybe not so crazy when you think about it. SML to take the full back position and gerard to follow cavanagh wherever he goes.

young declan mullan from coleraine apparently was very very impressive at training on sat and will be on the bench on sunday (despite having a lot more than "words" with skinner, surprise there eh?  ::)) big niall played in midfield but won be match fit. enda lynn doubful also with a bad back. derry training at casement at the minute.

Mccloy could be nursing a injury.

This is bubbling nicely... for revenge for 2006, Jeesh, I've never felt so humiliated, being held scoreless at half-time as AI Champs by a shower of Tír Eoghain rejects (check out Hugh O'Neill and that traitor Ó Catháin!)  ;D

Jesus boys go easy on us ... we are missing half our team. Sure its not a fair fight (excuse the word fight).

It's on the Drivetime sport podcast if you want to have a listen to it.

just listened to the recording. I hope they throw the book at the tr**p that put the studs into fergals face.
Total disgrace. Just what you would expect of Monaghan. At the end of the day it was McEnaney that encouraged this dirt.
The players just didn't decide to act the maggot - they where coached to do it.

Brolly claims on public radio that Fergal's face and arm was purposely and maliciously stamped upon by some Monaghan boot as he lay on the ground and had blood pumping from a wound afterwards. This is a very serious allegation. Does it have any merit?

This photograph was taken not long after he was stamped upon. Was directly in line with Fergal when he tripped clerkin and he clearly had blood coming from his mouth. Explains why he lashed out.

QuoteThis must have been some kangaroo court - because the CCC where not meant to meet until tuesday. If Doherty is suspended - then the pundits have ruined the game. This is all to appease a certain Free state camp who are afraid of their arses of rugby gaining ground in the south.

Yes that's the reason  ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

so what did doherty do? - if he had been spotted kicking - he would have got a yellow card. As it worked out he was yellow carded for shouldering and was sent off - done and dusted. So god help anyone else this championship if they stand on anyones toes or shoulder off the ball. This is more than Fergal Doherty - its political - the "new rules game" are working their own agenda. Doherty and Freeman are the victims - caught in the middle.

I doubt Derry have any chance against either Tyrone or Armagh

I think you are wrong there mate!

have to agree with you Doherty was out of control at that stage he was hitting all around him - he totally losed it. Referee had no choice to send him off. But fair play to derry they didn't drop the heads they battled on. It was ironic that big joe hit the ball over the bar when everyone in the ground was shouting "lay it it off Joe !" - big Joe proved us all wrong!
