An Portmor 1-8 Sarsfields 0-11

Great game. ref against us from the start. We had to play with ten men for 35 minutes. Full Forward sent off for a push, wind was very big factor. Also Sarsfields missed penalty in first attack of second half.

Any other results?

Who were the other 4 sent off?? ;) ;)

I'm a fan of the development squads. Good guys get singled out early on and if they somehow miss right then, then there is the development squad for the next year. Ryan McMenamin didn't make a impact at underage. The red tape of some gaels missing out ithis time around is of course unforgiveable. In some ways, it's like the trials Mickey Harte had at the start of the year ('if your good enough')for the county team.

Something that worries me is that Aussie Rules scouts coud be sniffing around development squads of strong county teams e.g one Dromore man selected from a county-winning u-14 team could be singled out by them.

Was this one dromore player your best player and matchwinner last year or was it just a good all round team? Should you have had other players on the panel kiddo?

Surely there should be more than 1 Dromore man on the U15 panel Kiddo considering they did a double over Omagh in League and Championship last year and they've got 7  ???

Apparently Dromore had 4 players in the final trial of which only two names were in the paper. The other two were informed on Friday Night but both were away at the gala so never found out until possibly Saturday at which time they couldn't make it. This disorganisation cost these players their chance, Why were there names not in the paper??

Impressive wins for Tattyreagh and Trillick today. What has happened to The Clarkes and Edendork? Division 1 is shaping up well this year but imo killyman might not even win a point, based on their displays thus far. The Lough also got beat well today by carmen, I expected a tighter game but carmen are clearly up for it.

A man, believed to be a football fan, has died after being hit by a car in the Aston area of Birmingham.
The collision happened after Sunday's Premier League match between Aston Villa and Birmingham City at Villa Park, which the home side won 5-1.
Police said the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries during the incident in Aston Hall Road at 1500 BST.
Officers were at the scene and the area was taped off. It is not yet clear if rival supporters were involved.
The vehicle involved was a Volkswagen Golf and police said they were appealing for witnesses.

Would you all stop setting Carmen up for a fall :-[
Killyman were poor infact very poor. I still think there is room for improvement in the forwards yet but i must say watching Mark Donnelly since he has come back from Australia, he is better than any forwards Mickey Harte has at his disposal at present.

Problem is he's from Carrickmore and Mickey Harte should have more carmen players on the panel but their club means they can't!!

BBC REPORT

Ryan Kelly's last-gasp fisted goal helped Down edge out Derry 3-11 to 1-14 in a thrilling Cadbury's Ulster U21 football final at Casement Park.
Conor Garvey's 15th-minute strike and a glorious goal by Paul McComiskey helped Down lead 2-5 to 0-8 at the interval.
Sean Leo McGoldrick's goal helped Derry draw level and while Down edged two ahead again, two Ryan Kealy points got the Oak Leafers on terms late on.
But Kelly's goal won the game for the Mourne County.

Quite an interesting game between cappagh and omagh at minors last night, omagh winning by 2pts. Tyrone Minor Danny Gorman headbutted an Omagh player and has supposedly received a 3 month suspension. :o Another omagh player had his nose broke while a cappagh player received a serious concussion during the bruising encounter.

Summary justice alright - apparently there just happened to be a CCC meeting taking place in Mc Ginn's just after the ntach - the referee drinks in Mc Ginns - he over indulged, wrote out his report there and then and handed it in to the meeting where the suspensions were confirmed. If the Cappagh boys want to appeal they have until 9am this morning.

It's good to see that relations have steadily improved between Cappagh and Omagh down the years !

Young Gorman was sent off while playing for Cappagh minors last year, straight red for striking. Thats why there is talk of a 3 months suspension. (although I doubt if even our wonderful CCC have dealt with it so quickly. They are to busy rearranging stupidly arranged senior fixtures) The Omagh player whose nose was broken was headbutted by Gorman and was not "another Omagh player" as Go4Goal suggests while the Cappagh player who was concussed collided with another player from Cappagh. it was a good hard game of football as you would expect from two local rivals.

that sort of "stirring up " belongs on another message board best not mentioned here.

So there is talk of suspension because of a prior incident - and not because he headbutted a player and broke his nose?? Im confused as to what the incident last year has to do with anything - except to suggest that thuggery sits well with that young player.

I played in many of these games and many of them were good hard games, but headbutting an opponent and breaking his nose doesnt fit into the description of a good hard game no matter what way you try and dice it.

I am not condoning what he did just trying to suggest a reason for the talk of 3 months suspension. Because he was sent off for a similar offence within 12 months the suspension for this offence will be longer than 4 weeks.

Go4Goals original post suggested to me that he was sent off for headbutting a player while another Omagh player had his nose broken i.e. 2 separate incidents. Not the case. His description of the Cappagh player being concussed also suggested it was caused by an Omagh player which again wasn't the case. Go4Goals to me was trying to stir things up by not giving the full facts and suggesting that the game was littered with foul play
The sending off occurred right at the end of what otherwise was a good game of football. The injured player had just scored the last point of the match. Again I am not condoning it just because it happened at the end, there is no place for such thuggery in our great game, just trying to put it in perspective with regards to the full game. It was an unsavoury end to what otherwise was a good game and not the "bruising encounter" that Go4Goals is suggesting.

Senior, I mearly reported what I was told by a friend. I wasn't at the game personally but was trying to report the facts as I was told. The fact that the player got such an immediate and lengthy suspension suprised me which is why I posted my comment.I am not sh*t stirring but mearly reporting what I was told. I apologize if you think I was twisting facts or giving people the wrong impression which is not what this board is about.
