Too many what ifs yet. We could go second if results go our way next weekend too! Wins for us, Kildare and Roscommon would put us level on points with Armagh and ahead of them on head to head.

One point off promotion, one point above relegation. One things for sure, it's very tight and could go either way.

Great performance tonight. Timmons kicked some point before half time. Coming into the league I was worried that we might have reached our max level and might struggle but it looks like we've kicked on another gear again this year which is great to see.

Were you in Roscommon? I was. He looked off the pace. He lives in England and is 33.  He hasn't played inter county in years. I'm just commenting on what I saw.

Don't know how we snook the draw but we did! It was a close game right up to the second goal and then I expected Roscommon to close the game out but they let it slip badly. Laois were a lot better than I expected. A lot of the younger lads who haven't played at this level before coped well.

I was surprised to see Healy come on. He doesn't have the build or speed of a modern footballer. I think it will be hard for him at this stage of his career to make a big impact.

Surprised to see Gary Walsh making an appearance too. Didn't know he was in with the county set up. With the retirements of the Kingston it will be good to have him as an option in the forwards.

Doesn't seem to be a way to filter fixtures by club anymore . My old bookmark for my club no longer works.
Hopefully they read this forum and fix that. It was very useful!

The archive of results from last few years is also gone. That was handy to have too.

Looks like the Laois GAA website got a refresh. Fixtures still as bad as ever though . No sign of Laois inter-county league fixtures to be found!

Can't believe the forward mark was passed. Teams will get even more defensive.

Sun bin will be hard to manage for the refs at club level.

Any good pubs to watch the match in Castlebar? Don't have a ticket and its on sky.

Did he release a statement saying why? Laois were on the way back up. Strange that he is stepping away now. Division 2 would have been a good test for his management skills if he wanted a bigger job down the line.

Any chance of more tickets becoming available or is that it?

Are they changing the league next year? Heard a rumour there wasn't going to be anyone relegated.

Cork were a lot better than I expected. They were a big step up on Meath. Division 2 football will be a good challenge next year. When you play better teams more often you learn more about yourself and gives much better chance to be ready for championship.

Was listening to it on the radio driving up to Mayo from Laois. What a win! They said there would be extended highlights on the Sunday Game tonight.

Sounds like another Newbridge incident. Match should have been in Hyde Park but GAA thought they would get more into Limerick.
