Stadium is a joke. First 20 rows in Hogan, dread to think what Cusack and Davin are like, are open to the elements yet cost the same price as those under cover. Catering a disgrace, flat beer, instant coffee and hugely overpriced

Oh, the humanity.

Its not the fact that it's instant, it's the fact that it's more expensive than what you'd pay a barista to make for you anywhere else. I have on many occasions defended the GAA on issues relating to finance but it's wrong to completely rip off your own people as soon as you get them inside the ground
The catering in Croke Park isn't provided by the GAA it is outsourced to Aramark

Carney tried to justify how easy Shields went down  in first half by saying he was tired from the run out with ball-what a tool!

Armagh and Dublin challenge game get a bit lively last week. And before a ball was even thrown in going by the story doing the rounds on social media  - see sportsjoe.ie

On hoganstand now

Sounds like a bad injury...how did he get injury? (I know it's too easy to say he got thumped but you just don't know how it happened)

What way did the game go anyone?

I am sick of Armagh players acting the **** before a ball is kicked, it is embarassing, stupid and they only have to go back to 2003 to realize it serves no purpose.

Teams are not going to be intimidated by tight Jerseys, handbags prior to the throw in or general acts of thuggery, they dont get mad, they just bate us!

no truer word spoke Stew. There is no advantage in it, just a massive opportunity for the player to look like a ballix.

People are commenting on an incident without having any credible details about what happened.

The Wexford manager obviously was wasn't watching when Andy Mallon was repeatedly pulled down when he got possession in the second half and tried to counter attack. His analysis is lazy stereotyping from a manager feeling the pressure of having lost the opening 2 games by large margins.

Also his 100 metre runs up the pitch with his arm in the air as he spots a pull on a forward while not being able to see the same foul from 5 metres.

A lot of respect for O'Gara, didn't react to severe provocation and showed a lot of discipline, hardy boy too.
Praise for restraint for the man who started the row?

Have to say, couldn't see any push for Monaghan's goal. Defender was far too far in front.
Defender wasn't too far in front until McManus pushed him there- and it was obvious to me sitting about  80 metres from the incident so no excuse for the ref to not see it.

No mention of a push in The Irish News coverage, none of the Armagh supporters behind the goal called it, less than 30 meters away. No appeal from the 'pushed' player. One Armagh poster with bionic hearing said that McKeever raised it with the ref at half time. The first I heard of this push was on this board today.

Not really surprising that.  Look, there's not one Monaghan supporter on this thread who's going to say they saw it, so we'll agree to disagree.
Possibly because none of them did see it. I'd have no problem saying it if I saw it. Its not like it would make any difference.
But I've seen the highlights and no sign of a push.
I've read numerous reviews in several papers / websites and no mention of a push.
No reaction from the Armagh player in question and no objection from any of the other players.
No mention of it from the Armagh camp post-game...

Anyway, it's all academic.
You didn't see it in the highlights because there was only 1 camera recording the match and the push had already happened before the camera picked McManus up

Donegal remind me of the early 00s Armagh teams. 1 great forward (Murphy/McConville), 1 hugely overrated forward (McFadden/McDonnell) and then a bunch of big men who hit hard and late.
Dear me Ronan Clarke, Diarmaid Marsden and the McEntees dismissed as big men who hit hard and late is beyond ridiculous never mind the overrated comment about Stevie.

QuoteHas McKeever made a statement denying her allegations then?

I know the players were told not to make any comment after the match. Only Aaron Kernan was given permission to speak.

You'd expect if an untruthful allegation is made against the Armagh Captain in a newspaper the County Board (and presumably McKeever himself) would want to put the record straight.

There is nothing to be gained at this time by making a statement. It is basically one persons word against another. In the end the flag bearer was asked to move. She refused.

She's claiming she was verbally abused.  McKeever and Armagh stay quiet on the matter.  Easy to draw conclusions.

Easy for you to draw a conclusion. You would probably claim they were trying to intimidate the flag carrier if they did release a statement. If Anglo Celt had waited until after CCCC had issued punishments it might not have looked like an attempt to influence the process.

Of course Throw Ball. The neural flag bearer made the whole thing up.  ::)
The neutral flag bearer from Ballyconnell being quoted in the Anglo Celt- doesn't sound like a particularly objective piece of journalism to me.
