I cannot stand Jackie Chan Movies, i just dont find him funny.

The best movie i have seen for fighting is Ong Bak with Tony Jaa, no cgi or wire work. His fight scenes are unreal

General discussion / Re: Canada -US Travel Question
June 30, 2008, 10:25:08 AM
Went across Border to go to Toronto years ago, was waved through and asked the customs official to stamp my passport. Asked me for some type of form along with my J1. Didnt have it so he would not let me through. After a 10 hour drive to get there. Went along to another border crossing and got in the boot. Dogs barking away and the others in the car got a grilling but we got over fine, had to go back in the boot on the way home too.

Was told after that I would deffo have got prison if i was caught

My favourite major.......i like to see the pro's struggling. The sheer difficulty of the course always lead to an exciting finish as anything can happen on each hole going down the finish. Harrington and maybe Cabrara again might be worth betting on, harrington for sheer scrambling ability which is vital for these courses. Cabrara I had missed as a potential winner last year but for such a long hitter he is a very confident man with the driver, no fear. Better to miss the fairway with a driver than a wood as unless you are close to the pin you have no chance of making it on in two with the rough as penal as it will be.

Tiger will struggle i think with his driving he missed the cut the last time he was just coming back from injury but you can never write him off, might be worth opposing at the odds he is at. At least you will get to see all his shots unlike some outsider who unless he is close to the lead you will not see

General discussion / Re: MAYO ECHO - Front Page
May 30, 2008, 10:00:41 AM
I thought the article was a disgrace and hope they are sued over this, there was a crinkled page of a skin mag found with allegedly young boys in it on the parks grounds. This gave the paper the chance to accuse the gay perverts of looking over at the kids in the playground with mouths drooling. What started out as a "cruising" expose is now an alleged pedo ring.

The Mayo Echo every week without fail comes up with a controversial news story, i think they have stepped over the mark this time

Watched Rise of the Foot Soldier over the weekend, loved it. Its a bit like Gangster no 1, you will have to like your violence in films though...which I do!

Last three years in a row i have got my renewal quote off FBD, i dont even ring anyone else, ring them two days later and say Quinn Direct beat them by 150 but i am happy with them and would like them to keep my business, they have matched or beaten it every time. Damn tax is what is killing me now, should never have got a 2 litre gas guzzler but alas I was recently made single at the time which is always a killer when it comes to buying cars

GAA Discussion / Wishlist for gaa.ie
January 04, 2008, 02:33:08 PM
Thought this might be interesting with what we can come up with for the gaa website

My wish List

Newsletters from the association
A detailed and reliable fixtures and results section
More pictures in the site - ladiesgaelic.ie has thousands of them
Maybe some interactive pages - Online All-stars team - Quizzes etc
Some podcasts of the matches - even old ones from the archive (or is that RTE's baby if they own the rights)
Pages faster to load - site is way too slow
Text message alerts for major news

Havent heard of Cujo in years, my auld one was fairly lenient saw all the slasher movies as a kid, evil dead, texas chainsaw and so on, neve got too scared of them. But nothing affected me like Cujo, couldnt sleep for months after, I reckon that it was a bit more truth to it then some monster movie so it hit me harder as a young lad.

GAA Discussion / Re: Sammon to be ratified on Wednesday
September 04, 2007, 12:08:56 AM
He was my coach all through underage level, we won everything under him, fantastic coach!

A quite man but was well able to wire us up for our biggest games, our full back was an enigma, built like an animal at 6'4 at 14. He was too much of a gentle giant to be truly dominant, Sammon would whip him up to a frenzy every time we played against a good team. Insulting him calling him soft, telling him to try and keep the full forward to 6 points, telling the full back to cover his dropped balls. Twas comical, same story every time, froth coming down his mouth with anger and indignation he would rise to the occasion and make a shite of the full forward, after U-12 to U-18 you would think he would have copped on to his ruse

People in Galway would have a lot of respect for the man so I think he will do well. He was involved with the Combined rules set up as well.

General discussion / Re: Laptops - best options?
August 29, 2007, 09:58:58 PM
Our company director bought three acer laptops for us, at the time i thought he was being tight but all three have been well used over the last year and none of them have given any problems. I would have no problem recommending them to someone
