I always thought the Grimleys were more dirty than hard. They never had much footballing ability other than their size.

Can I suggest that you limit your thinking then! I would expect such a suggestion from someone who knows nothing about football - take of your blinkers please and don't trot out the usual stereotypes!  ;)

Rufus, if you were stuck you could try a proxy site. Just type in the gaaboard address in the url line on the website below
http://www.proxysite.org/

Thanks venter - I'll give that a go!   :)

Bloody hell - it's a good job that I can no longer get GAABoard in work - at this rate there wouldn't be much in the way of work being done. ::)

More to the point Rufus, how the feck do you work all day without access to the internet?

I've access to the internet Joe - just GAABoard is blocked for some reason - I dread to think as to how I'll get through the Summer - for now, I'm doing most of my posting on reservoirdubs!  :(

Are you sure it's not just a secutity setting in your browser Rufus?

Whenever I click on the link, it comes up something about company policy not allowing access!  >:(

I think it was Mark that hit Lynch at half time in the tunnel in 89.  Mc Kenna let him catch the ball at the start of the second half and ran through him,  He didnt want to know after.

There was also a very notorious friendly under lights between Armagh and Tyrone where Harry Mc Clure chased the two Grimleys into the dressing rooms.

Uh oh - red and white tinted glasses alert!

Statement one is factually incorrect and I would take issue with the conclusion, which basically boils down your personal opinion based on what side of the argument you are on!

Statement two is factually incorrect - I wasn't there, but I played and watched the Grimleys play for nigh on twenty years, and they never run from anyone, ever, and they were up against the odds plenty of time!

Rufus without trying to be a WUM or anything, can you give a definite account of the situation, I am sure you are in the know.

There's nothing to report Corn - all there is is gossip and innuendo - it's as simple as that.

I understand totally how people are getting annoyed by the arrogance of this councillor, and it of course makes GAA people go on the defensive, i.e. who does this dude think he is?

Still and all - I was for the opening up of Croker and the same would apply in my mind to other major grounds, including Limerick. These are big and expensive grounds that are scandously underused. Limerick has a capacity of 49,000 - the last time it had an attendance that size I reckon was the 1989 Munster Final (I think - the unveiling of the Mackey stand). When was the last time it had 40k in it - 1996 Munster Final?

And of course, Killarney, Cork, Thurles and Kilkenny are all planning extensions to already big grounds that will remain underused, whilst Clare are going to get a brand new 43k baby! Why not use our underused resources for our benefit - plenty of money to be made and there is always room for more money in the GAA, coaching grants etc.

I would love to see Munster playing at the Gaelic Grounds - would benefit Limerick, Munster, Ireland and the GAA!!

The rumour mill in Armagh is in full flow and it's unbelievable stuff floating about.  Whoever is behind the stories must be having a laugh.

It does sadden me though to witness so many people who call themselves Harpsmen running around bitching about one thing/person or another and seemingly thriving on all the uncertainty at the minute.

If you go looking for a reason to fall out with your Club you won't be long finding one, but I feel there's a fundamental fault in that way of thinking.  You stand by your Club through thick and thin and if you have a grievance of any kind, bring to the attention of the Committee and let them address it.  There aren't many mind readers about the Club - or any Club for that matter.

I honestly don't think JP will move, and I hope he doesn't.

Harpsman - your first post, and you will do well my son to knock out a better post in your time here. Agree with everything in there - couldn't have put it better myself.

It is obvious that there are a lot of wind up merchants here and they are enjoying the way this whole issue has spiralled out of control. Whatever rocks your boat lads!

There are though genuine Harps men (and women) on here who are passionate about our Club, and I would ask them to remember the reputation of the Club and not to post things that are going to sully that reputation. That includes comments about fellow Harps men on here - all Harps men - there's enough out there who are willing to knock us all - don't start having a go at each other on this Public forum - business conducted behind closed doors if you please!  ;D

A certain Armagh Harps man, who was featured in this week's Gaelic Life , must be mighty relieved that the whole JP Donnelly saga deflected a lot of attention away from his rather shameful and embarrassing interview in the 'FanSpake' column.

I hope this Orange bigot, who "Dreads another Sam in Tyrone", is not your typical Armagh Harps supporter.

Alright - but are you still going to put the tapes on to DVD?   ;D

:D good news for all armagh clubs especially the small ones i read in gaelic life the peader murry county treasurer has announced the county team funding will no longer be a burden on clubs this is fantistic news as the policy of hitting all clubs for the same amount of money regardless of size or ability to pay was crippling many clubs all over the county. i have from the beginning opposed this facist uncaring policy and am glad it has been binned as a member of a small club it was getting to the stage that we hated going to our own county board for fear of being boned for money all the time, i dont know what fundraising schemes they have thought up to replace this madness any one heard anything?

It ain't just the small Clubs believe me - the bigger Clubs find it tough as well. I can't believe that this method of collecting loot has been dropped unless there is something else afoot!   :o

JP is a valued member of both our Senior team and our Club!

Are you referring to the comma I have used after the word 'repeat'?

Sing to the tune of the chorus of Go West, by the Pet Shop Boys;

YOU'RE HARPS, AND YOU KNOW YOU ARE,
YOU'RE HARPS, AND YOU KNOW YOU ARE,
YOU'RE HARPS, AND YOU KNOW YOU ARE,
YOU'RE HARPS, AND YOU KNOW YOU ARE,

repeat, ad infinitum!!!   ;)

rufus is there a deadline for buying a ticket for the day at the races??

Obviously we will take money up until the day itself - would prefer the money in though as soon as possible, and if you could sell one or two tickets?!?  ;D

Conor Moore is taking money for those that are looking to pay off in installments.
