I know Speith used the rules to his maximum advantage to get the most advantageous drop on 13th. However that aside I was always taught there was a spirit to the rules of golf. I would go as far to say he was allowed to break that spirit. Surely the powers that be need to look at the way the pros get these drops in tournament play. I remember D.Johnson getting a free drop from thick US Open rough last year because a tv tower was in his line of sight. He proceeded to drop the ball on an adjacent fairway and hit over the tower onto the green. Could they not make all the trappings that go with tv coverage part of the course. They are already getting an advantage of trampled down rough in many cases as it is. I think the less opportunity they have to put their hand on the ball in open play the better. This rant aside glad to say I had Speith and Kuchar both done e/w.

The only week i cracked it was the final week. I had McIlroy Moore Chappell and Casey. Too little too late tho!!

Portstewart to host 2017 Irish Open. 1st week in July should help attract more big names so close to The Open.

Did Speith have the option of playing 3 of the tee on 12th. Tbought that would have been an easier shot than the pitch he hit in water

Afaik there is no ROC payment on the panels which only heat your water.
I installed 16 of the PV solar panels in Aug 2015 before the ROC payment was to be reduced.
You have a guaranteed payment every year, a reduced electric bill and also hot water as our system will send any unused to heat the water before it goes back to the grid. Expensive system to install but payback will between 7-10 years i reckon.
From the different companies i spoke with when researching the panels which only heat the water arent that efficient in our climate.

Have just got Firestick with Kodi added on.
On first quick tests very slow/buffering on sports links like Sky & Bt.

Hard to disagree with that, and yet in spite of all evidence to the contrary, I still think Spieth is over-achieving and mining a current vein of very rich form. Rory, albeit critically a few years older, has won Majors by running away, by holding on and grinding it out and by coming from behind coming down the stretch. Spieth was very impressive in last year's Masters but was handed the US Open on a plate.

Spieth for sure a better putter, (and yes, you putt for dough), but in all other aspects Rory is miles ahead a better all-round player. Think he will reassert his dominance this year, especially when he has Spieth, Day etc. to spur him on.

Early last year  i would have been of the opinion Speith was just on a bit of a hot  streak. But these only tend to last 3-4 weeks. He has been almost imperious for 12 months now. I dont think you can challenge his No 1 status currently. In my humble opinion Rory isnt teeing it up often enough in competitive golf. The likes of Speith Day Reed Watson seem to play more regularly. That said the nature of the modern game it would be no huge surprise if neither Speith or McIlroy won a major in 2016
