I don't think this was and the crowd is fairly small even with cheap tickets.
No reason why it can't be. Only county finalists arent available at this stage of the season. But HQ only seen to want to make an effort when it suits them, so this will probably be a one off
Quote from: tiempo on October 13, 2024, 06:04:19 PMPerfect comparison Cavan and ManUIf you're that obsessed with lowly Cavan football maybe ask your Tyrone manager he'll tell you.
Mentally weak, living in the past, anonymous
Quote from: tiempo on October 13, 2024, 05:19:22 PMAI Junior champions and D1 league team Arva walk the Cavan intermediate championship this afternoonStick to the Man United thread lad not sure you know much about Gaelic football.
From a county that won the Leinster Junior Championship in 2014 this shouldn't really surprise anyone, embarrassed for all concerned
Guaranteed they down tools next year at SFC level
Quote from: Duine Inteacht Eile on October 13, 2024, 02:55:41 PMThat same poster blathered about the Cavan teams all year.Quote from: full moon on October 13, 2024, 02:47:42 PMSerious chip on the shoulder from Northern posters on here about Cavan. Yet they say nothing about Derry teams winning Intermediate and Junior and remaining in same division. Many people on here commented on that including general lee....
Mostly just nonsensical slabbering from fools but tiresome none the less.Quote from: general_lee on October 09, 2023, 02:36:09 PMHow are Glenullin still Intermediate? Did they not win it last year or the year before?
Quote from: bennydorano on October 13, 2024, 03:06:28 PMWas the Derry thing not a County board mess? A reorganisation of league structure?
I actually think the Cavan system is a bit of a joke. 'Junior' teams playing (presumably) senior & intermediate standard clubs in Div 1 are being exposed to a consistently higher standard of football all season long. Great for their development but not for others when it comes to the Ulster series. The linking of leagues & championships works in other counties, it is a simple solution to get a level playing field.
Quote from: tiempo on October 13, 2024, 01:23:19 PMKnockbride you won your medals cheatingHow's that exactly? Real idiotic posts on this forum about Cavan teams.
Reason Cavan will amount to nothing
That is all
Quote from: GTP on October 12, 2024, 09:01:15 PMBig mistake from whoever decided to put this game on TV. Neutrals would have still gone to Glen Slaughtneil if on RTE providing some atmosphere. And with both clubs having a profile beyond Derry even if it was rubbish would still have provided interest to viewers.I'm not from Derry but I agree, also the Sky guide RTE said this was the Derry football final and I assumed it was Glen Slaughtneil until I tuned in.
With respect to both clubs tonight very few going to choose a cold night in owenbeg to watch them. It has made Derry GAA look a bit small time.
Quote from: Low and Hard on July 29, 2024, 10:08:13 AMYesterday just goes to show the importance of a reliable free taker when the pressure is on. Shane Walsh made some strange decisions on frees. The two he missed in first half were crucial, can't understand why Tierney didn't hit the left sided one & why Walsh didn't steal 4/5 yards in the run up from the one near cusack stand side to make it a formality. For me Galway win the game if they nail them 2 scores.Agree they will really rue those misses, shows exactly how important the frees are in low scoring games like that. Hard to begrudge Armagh really but Galway will surely feel it was going to be their year after dethroning Dublin and beating Donegal.
Quote from: Look-Up! on July 13, 2024, 08:02:16 PMMassive congratulations to Armagh. Absolutely delighted for ye. Nothing won yet but a brilliant achievement to get to AI final and will be very special occasion. Brilliant that it's against Donegal or Galway too. I think for us neutrals, everyone is a winner.
And delighted for Geezer. A brilliant coach, often vilified, but a legendary player who walked the walk and never asks anything off a player he wouldn't do himself. A player's player and a player's coach.
