That's not how the reffing courses down here would say.  I couldn't believe it myself, nor could anyone else and it was brought up on more than 1 occasion for clarification.  I presume it's to do with health and safety.  Obviously it's interpretation but that's from a course only 3/4 weeks back.

Yes you can and even score from it too...........them are the rules.

He was brought to the ground in the tackle and according to the rules was fully entitled to throw the ball.  It's a rule that never seems to be interpreted correctly.  You can even throw the ball into the net if you have been knocked to the ground in a tackle.

Looking to purchase a 3 piece kit of a 1/4 zip training training top, training t-shirt and skinny tracksuit pants for an underage girls team.  Have seen posts from Cuchulainn sportswear on Facebook and was wondering if anyone on here has any feedback on their products.  Very reasonably priced at €40 for the 3 piece kit for kids and €50 for adults.  All feedback greatly appreciated.  Club colours are saffron and blue of course......

Far too many do-gooders in this country. I'd say the locals might have accepted 80 but when it's going to be 200/250 in a town of around 1000 people it's more than any town should have to cope with. Imagine telling the Dubs that there were 200,000 refugees coming in the next couple of months.  That's the scale of the incoming numbers of refugees.  One wonders who are the shrewd investors were that purchased the hotel a few months ago??????????? On a brighter note, isn't it great to see our great Enda delivering for the West again.

What facts do you actually disagree with Whitey??? Do they not get all the funding from the programmes? Do they not get all the profits from the shop? Have they not the largest population? The similarities with Dublin on the county scene are striking are they not? As for an atmosphere at matches in Castlebar, it's non existent I'm afraid.

McHale Park might not officially be there home ground, but it is most certainly their cash cow.  The Mitchells get all the proceeds from EVERY programme sold there, including club and county games.  Imagine the amount they rake in from this.  They also get all the proceeds from the shop at EVERY game.  Conservatively I reckon that together they possibly take in over €100,000 per year.  Plenty of people on here questioning why Dublin get so much funding.....we in Mayo might look closer to home to see how clubs are funded.  Very hard for clubs to compete against the likes of Castlebar when along with the largest population they have a license to print money from McHale Park.  It's no wonder the Stephenites felt hard done by when all the county games were moved to McHale Park.  Ony one winner there and it's certainly not the Mayo County Board.

Not defending them on this one, but it always is Mitchels people behind the counter at the shop.

They (Mitchels) have some deal done with the county board for the Shop and selling of programs. Take it from me both are nice earners for the club. To call a spade a spade, financially Mitchels are so far ahead of any club in Mayo.

Of course it's always the Mitchells crew staffing the shop Farr, it's their shop after all.  Next time your at a Mayo game and you think your supporting Mayo GAA by spending a few euro on a programme, just hand it straight to the Mitchell lads instead. Not 1 cent goes to Mayo GAA.  Or when your at Breaffy V Knockmore Farr, that programme money and the few euros for the cup of coffee also goes straight to the Mitchells.  They operate and have a budget to spend like a county team. Gap will only get bigger and bigger to other clubs....

Mayo GAA would make more money moving the Mayo league games and club games around the county.  Their gate receipts would be better and they might even make a few euro selling programmes and a few cups of tea.......not to mention that there might even be an atmosphere at a game.

By God, the ASTI leadership are piss poor. After striking for one day they now want to suspend action to accept a bit of a deal that the TUI members are already entitled too, namely a CID after 2 years. They are not even demanding the payment for supervision that their TUI colleagues already receive. All unions it seems are a total waste of time, with the top brass only interested in lining their deep pockets.

My debit card has been hacked today or so I have been informed by my bank.  The same one I used to renew my season tickets with last night when I was not supposed to be able to renew according to a mail I received today from seasontickets.  I hope there is no link?????

Imagine the outcry from the media if it was Keegan that dived and started waving the imaginary card around to get Connolly sent off.......the standard of journalism in the national media is deplorable, so one sided that it's no wonder those outside the pale have given up on buying the rags.  You'd think from reading the post match analysis that Dublin were a twenty points better team than Mayo.  I wont be buying one again for awhile, not sure which of them are the worst, McGee, Brehony etc....Jesus wept...

Not sure what's going on with the season tickets.  No problem renewing the standard adult season tickets but it kept coming up as an error when I went to renew the kids juvenile tickets on our two separate accounts.  Then had a go at renewing my fathers Club plus/Cairde Maigheo ticket and it would only allow me to purchase the €99 season ticket, which I duly did in the fear that the other one would not become available.  Have emailed them, so hopefully they will be able to sort it out.  Anyone else struggling with the renewal of their kids tickets?????  Thanks

Very hard to believe or stomach that Kevin McLoughlin will once again be overlooked for an All-star.....a real reliable class performer in every game.......
