Donie is injured. He's on the bench but Attride is completely out.
Quote from: Batman!!! on May 25, 2019, 08:59:48 AMit's a pity if true..thought he would put it in with Sugrue. Unfortunately Donie never reached his undoubted potential and he will probably end up the same...I have a notion it's his last year..
Attride injured seemingly. Donie not starting due to training performances by all accounts
Quote from: Countyminor on May 19, 2019, 01:02:26 AMis this Div 1B your talking about young man.. as you probably know the Joe's are also in Div IA although results in both for them are poor. They must have a bigger pool of players then court wood to be able to field in both Div 1A ,& 1B.. court wood are doing well and well done to them but leagues and senior championship are miles apart
Can't help but be dismayed by the truly dismal standard of our league's this year, in particular this one. Stradbally and Joseph's between them provide 2 players to the county set-up and yet anytime I've seen them play this year both sides have been inexcusably poor. Conceding 7 to Ballylinan - is that a piss take or what? 6 to Emo? I have great respect for Stradbally as a club but Jesus what on earth is going on there?
On the other hand Courtwood are a breath of fresh air. They've seemingly overtaken more established clubs with literally 1 crop of young talent. They've a much stronger nucleus than the likes of the Arles clubs, Stradbally, Joes, Cretty, Ballyfin, The Heath and possibly Emo and Ballylinan. They won't just survive comfortably they are at worst quarter final standard in this year's championship despite arguably, in my opinion, being short about 4 or 5 players to get to within maybe 7 points of Portlaoise.

A former laois legend lives in Andalucia...he coul hhggelp out with tours etc ,📸🇧🇳Quote from: Jd on March 25, 2019, 10:33:09 AMLaois should head off somewhere this weekend for an historical outing. Start a whiparound there boys and we'll send them off to Andalusia to research Franco and Eoin O Duffy's links.
Loved Sugrues little dig when asked about a training camp in April seeing as the league will still be on, he said that we can't use that word but would maybe get out the thesaurus to get around it.

Quote from: SCFC on February 12, 2019, 08:18:07 PMConor Delaneys transfer ratification is on the Leinster Website transfer schedule 2019. He was transferred to Kilbeggan Shamrocks on 25/01/2019. I did mistakenly say Mullingar Shamrocks in my previous noteQuote from: The Monument Road on February 12, 2019, 07:42:53 PMTransfer from Cork club to Laois club won't appear on that website. That's only for transfers between two Leinster clubs.Quote from: Hospital Pass on February 12, 2019, 04:21:55 PMLeinster Council Website transfer section
Where did yee see the transfers lads? Delaney would be a loss to Stradbally alright

Has anyone ever seen a one armed Waiter?
Quote from: Laoiseabu on November 30, 2018, 12:05:26 PMNo better place outside OMP than Cretty. From your inference you have a gripe with Crettyards pitchQuote from: The PRO on November 30, 2018, 08:38:44 AMKnowing our county board it will probably be CrettyardQuote from: les Antiques on November 29, 2018, 03:11:46 PMIt probably will be outside O'Moore Park. That's been the pattern for a few years now. It's on a Saturday. With it being Meath, Portarlington makes most sense.
Would have liked to have seen the Meath game played somewhere other than Portlaoise particularly at this time of year. Lots of options around the county with the facilities required to host an O'Byrne Cup match of a December night .
