That's a massive loss for Cross with that news. I believe that this now puts the game more on a 50/50 balance.  Stephen has been one of Cross top players this past 2seasons and I can't but feel for him on the biggest day in the club calendar that he misses the chance to lead his team out in Croke Park.  Time the GAA caught a grip.

Wouldn't have Cunningham on the team, at time's I don't think he's good enough to play for Cross. Eoin Brosnan was my man of the match in the semi final and Cunningham was marking him. He was in my opinion lucky not to be taken off before Michael Mc Namee. Only for the injuries he would have been im sure. Then with his 1st real contribution he scores a point and jumps in the air and falls to the ground with cramp/ looking attention.  But at the same time I wouldn't have Charlie Vernon there either would like to see Swift, Forker, Anto Duffy or Mc Parland there.

Dont worry about what people say on this about the game. I can assure you that the Cross players and managers will not be taking Garrycastle for granted. So i dont think Cross will be caught on the hop Sorry.

yea but the reason he missed was because he was injured. he done his thigh muscle 2weeks before the game.

Am I right in saying that McKenna didn't start the semi?
He was dropped for missing training.

Mc Kenna never missed training, he was injured and didnt train untill the wednesday before the game.

scholes Shaped united season came out of retirment and is running the middle of the park. Vernon was never good enough. Should have played rugby would rather try and go throught the man instead of going round him.  Paddy and peter have a place in their hearts for Charlie.

Armagh's best 15.

1. Paul Hearty

2. Brendan Donaghy
3. Paul Kernan
4. James Morgan

5. Aaron Kernan
6. Ciaran McKeever
7. Andy Mallon

8. David McKenna
9. Malachy Mackin

10. Tony Kernan
11. Stephen Kernan
12. Aaron Cunningham

13. Jamie Clarke
14. Stephen McDonnell
15. Oisin McConville

Now that an Armagh team that most counties would be scared of. Solid defence, great ball winners in the middle and a half forward line that can score.  As for the full forwards all match winners.  Only problem is will Cross be able to defend their league missing so many players?

will do and reference Crossfire... surly your well known around the club :P

Whilst not a result to be overly disheartened with it certainly puts in perspective the euphoria after the Cork and Kerry games. It also nails the lie that only one or two Cross players would make the team. It does howver also reaffirm the fact that under Paddy O'Rourke Armagh have failed to reach a consistent level of play. Perhaps that will change next day out.
1 or 2 Cross players; you must be looking a quite summer on the football front?

Where Mayo as good at the papers say or where Armagh just poor?  This could be the reality check that Armagh need.  Armagh are not as good as their win over Kerry suggests they are

Garrycastle forward line with Gary Dolan, Patrick Mulvihill, James Dolan and Dessie (Dessie just 3rd best of this bunch in the semi) ..... i'd actually almost take this forward line over the Cross one. Only problem is that they are short on a couple more.
Same with midfield  .... David Shaugnessey and Seanie Donoghue over any club pairing in the country.

However, its still Cross to win in my view as just too much experience and i just can't see Garrycastle handling the Cross forward line.

Very confusing, so you wouldn't actually take the Garycastle midfield and forward line over the Cross midfield and forward line or would you? your saying one thing and then saying a different thing in the end.
