GAA Discussion / GAA Summer Camps 2010
December 23, 2009, 05:50:38 PM
Folks,

I know it might be a bit early, but our club have already began the preparations for hosting our own summer camp in 2010. The last number of years we have run the GAA Cul Camp, but the simple fact of the matter is, alot of parents simply cant afford to send their kids to it, especially if they have 2,3 or even 4 kids in the house.

What we plan to do is run our summer camp for a week in June/July, and make it completely free to all kids. At the end of the day the majority of coaches at the camps are young people already involved with their own clubs, so coaches should be no problem. The one big thing the official camps have to offer the kids is at the end of the week they all get a kit bag complete with jersey, shorts and socks, and although the week will cost them nothing, im sure they will still be expecting their goody bags.

I have been speaking with a few local businesses about the possibility of sponsoring a goody bag for each child, was thinking of including a go games ball (relativelhy cheap at £5 each) and a training jersey. just an average training top, that can be printed with the club crest and the sponsors logo across the front.

Obviously low cost is essential, and the goody bags are going to be funded 100% from outside the club. Has anyone gotten similar jerseys in the past, or have any suggestions of compaines that produce them.

GAA Discussion / Advice wanted - GAA team wear
September 30, 2009, 04:19:28 PM
Right folks, looking into new club merchandise at the minute, want to look at as many possibilities as possible, thinking of moving away from o'neills. Was wondering if any of you could reccomend any other suppliers that your own club have dealt with or even just other suppliers you know of. Many thanks

GAA Discussion / Fantasy GAA 2009
April 10, 2009, 03:24:36 AM
Hi there folks,

With the championship just around the corner, from now on in you will see various fantasy football competitions springing up, myself and a few other memebrs of our club have taken it upon ourselves to run a competition of our own as a fundraiser. Hopefully we will get alot of interest in it, weve kept the entry fee reasonably low, its a pretty straight forward competition, all the rules, scoring chart, and player lists ect can be found on our website, so why not have a nosey at it. I hope when you are deciding upon which of the competitions available to enter you will give us a thought, we may not have a flashy website with all the graphics, but in entering this competition, you will be supporting one of youre very own clubs. If you have any queries about the competition you can email me at clannnabanna@hotmail.co.uk

To view the competition just log on to clannnabanna.down.gaa.ie and click on the competitions link

Many thanks, i hope we can look forward to youre support.
