It's not hard to tell you the history of a team - when you've a team of researchers working for you giving the information

No but he say's it all off his head....doesn't seem too look at the screen.....If i told you the latest history of all 92 league teams,l all the taems in the conference and all the scottish teams would you remember them all when one scores? ???

He doesn't remember all the facts, they're on his computer. When something happens, at a match, goal, sending off or whatever, his screen flicks up with the info and he reads it.

Are we talking about Jeff Stelling? I read an interview where he claimed to ad lib most of his quips, although he stored a few away just in case, e.g. when Gareth Jellyman got sent off he had "Jellyman has thrown a wobbler!" stored in his mental Rolodex. He's a cut above the other TV linkmen, a non-smarmy version of Uncle Gaybore
