Title: Fantasy GAA Board Competition
Post by: Lecale2 on February 13, 2008, 08:50:25 AM
Right lads this is the fantasy GAA Board. Pick 3 posters as your team.

You get 1 pt for a non GAA post by a member of your "team" and 2 pts for any post in the other sections.

5 pts for starting a thread or poll.
-2 pts for a warning from Mod3.
-10 for a ban.

You can't pick yourself.

The first competition closes on Friday 15th @ 5.00pm. I'll publish the scores over the weekend and run it again next week if there's any interest.

Now let's see how many enter.

You should have them in sections like the Fantasy Golf.

A level posters, never in trouble.
B Level posters who lose the rag an odd time
C level posters who spend more time fighting than thinking.

Pick one from each. :D

pick the top 60 an post them up in pools, the sooner you enter the sooner you pick, mid season transfer window for youth team players who have developed. I can see this going the way of another forum, where "good rep" is given for interesting posts, and then Ziggy will be crowned poster of the year again...

This could be a bit of craic.

Hardstation

Real Laoislad

Pints Of Guinness

Can we use amusing names for our teams?

These are the "3 Amiegos".

Do you only score positive for starting a thread or get a point a post?

Opps just re-read that.  :-\

Why only 1 pt for a Non GAA post and 2 for all others?

I think 5ive Times, Sky Blue, Ziggeyego and Pints are good picks. They post a lot and with them being on warnings they're unlikely to misbehave and get a ban.

Although you never can tell what will happen. Especially if there is drink involved. It will be interesting to see how it all pans out.

Maybe because it's meant to be a GAA discussion board. Sometimes you would wonder.

Why did Ziggysego get a warning? I thought he/she was one on mod's pets?

Given that Pints and 5ive are currently banned from conversing they're not the certs they should be. However  I'm going to stick in  (1) 5ive, (2) Snowed Under and (3) Xxxxxxxxx Xxxxx. A few iffy posts about  (1) the Paul Quinn Death, (2) using up mother and toddler parking spaces and (3)  GAA stars from County Down and I can just sit back and watch the points roll in

I don't know about bad pints, he's still in a bit of a huff from the weekend and I've told him he's not allowed near the board until he learns to hold his tongue because he's going to get us banned!

If the point of it is to pick someone who is on here most surely Lecale2 should win, as although not posting he will have to be on a hell of a lot to count every single persons posts, is it just me or is this "game" a bit sad?

What are you expecting - the St Valentine's Day massacre?  There'll be no feuding here let me tell you. I want to declare my undying love for Aristotle Flynn and as a demonstration of that love I am now going off to modify my earlier post and remove my good friend from my Fantasy Team.

PS Aristotle, me and the missus are up for a good game of cards any evening this weekend
