Anybody have any experience of applying for grants etc.. for club projects? Would be particularly interested to hear from ones in the north experiences, although all help appreciated. Contacts, Websites stuff like that.
Benny you could start by asking some of your friends from across the City (going by today's locals).
PM me or see www.firhousevillage.com (Dodder Proposal)
There is currently a grant (applications to expire in mid Feb) allocated to all councils in the Mexican Hemisphere that I think Gaa Clubs can avail of. Also Google European Grants for Social Infrastructure. Lot's of them go under the radar unless someone like Councillor Hickey spots them.

Sorry (edit)
The point I make is that in rural areas the GAA is part of the Social Infrastructure and for example throughout the counttry there were pipe and brass bands that played before county finals (just as an example) and they are dying out but there are old band rooms that could be renovated in a joint inititave with the local Gaa club, that kind of thing but each area, each application and each pen pusher is different with different attitudes and unless someone like you comes along asking, probing and seeking you will not be handed money that is often left go to waste.

So I believe, haven't seen it yet.
Cheers Bud.
I meant to say that you could approach the National Lottery.
If your community council/group are affiliated to your gaa club they are entitled to a grant direct from your local county council.
My crowd will be applying for this grant this week and I will let you know how we get on.
See http://www.meath.ie/Community/CommunityFundingandGrants/CommunityGrantsScheme/ (http://www.meath.ie/Community/CommunityFundingandGrants/CommunityGrantsScheme/) because they explain it better than my county council.
Other than that, there are only two options left:
1. Approach Mr. Wall in Manchester, Paddy the Plasterer or Frank Dunlop.
2. If your club is out of the town, more than 100 meters from a house stick a discreet mobile phon mast on it for Vodafone and o2 and get 50k a year fro each of them. The planning laws are for 5 years so after you have got half a million take them down if the natives start a war dance but you have half a million in the bank.
