On the subject of razors.  I was thinking of switching from wet to electric razor.  Anyone recommend a good electric razor or would you advise against the switch.

If you have any sort of hair at all stick with the wet. Theres no real way around it. The electrics dont do a thing for me - except irritate worse than the wet shave. You just have to wash the face with warm water and a good scrub, then get the gel on and whack away.

Forget about it, made the switch a few months back....bad move.  Nothing like a wet shave and I don't mean using Gillette....

Get yourself a good saferty razor.  There is more to them than how they look, a good one should be weighted to give the best shave i.e. no pressure required.  be careful with it the first few times, but after a week you'll have it sorted.  Here is a good one here:

Then a decent blade.  I find these ones great value and do for ages....get about 40 shaves out of a 10 pack at onyl £3.95 a pack. (2 shaves per side by 10 blades):

Then use a good pre-shave oil:

Now get yourself a decent brush, followed by a decent shaving cream:

Plenty of warm water and your on your way to the best shave ever!  Especially when you have a few days growth.

Forget the electric shave, a waste of time imo.  I've used Gillette M3 Power and all that expensive gear, none come close to the above and all the above products last for ages.

Its real easy to get a good shave when you have a few days growth - its the 24-36 hr growth I struggle with. Its either twice a day or twice a week for me. Does this razor do the business every day ballad maker?

Every single time Puckoon without fail.  Top class shave.  One word of caution, you need to take your time.  Probably not the best if you are rushing out to work.  Could take 15mins or so.
