On TV3 tonight, Kilkenny goalkeeper James McGarrys wife Venessa was tragically killed in an accident in Kilkenny earlier today.

Ar dheis De go raibh a h-anam

My thoughts and sympathy are with James and the whole family.

Puts all into perspective lads.

Condolences to her husband James and family.  They are very much in our thoughts and prayers at this terrible time for them.
This really puts everything in perspective as nothing else really matters.

Very sad to hear about such a tragedy. As has been said before, it puts all our squabbles into perspective. May she rest in peace and may the family and friends take comfort from all the thoughts and prayers from everyone throughout the GAA world.

Tragic news.

One thing regarding it today that upset / pissed me off  ..... the Daily Mirror lead with a headline along the lines of "Tragedy for DJ" ..... apparently DJ was a cousin of Vanessa, but why the hell lead with a headline like this. It left a sour taste with me albeit i am too fully sure why
