We used to have local league threads. I'll do one for the top 4 football divisions.
Good starts to the top division by Ballyroan Abbey, St Joseph's and surprisingly Courtwood.
Portarlington seem to be in bother. Beat Ballyfin the other night but looks a shadow team compared to the 3 in a row line up.
The next round of the leagues might be a bit more interesting as teams might have county players and be a bit closer to full strength.
Joseph's, Courtwood and BA through to top 4. Portlaoise or Graigue should take the other spot although Stradbally have an outside chance.
Port and Ballyfin definitely in the bottom 4.
Joseph's look very strong winning most of their games minus 4 or 5 county players.

I used to make them most of the time but I have been sick lately and didn't have the energy to do it. I'm getting better slowly so hopefully I can get back to it. Thank you for keeping it going....

Hope you're feeling better soon.
To be fair to the county board, the leagues are massively improved from what they used to be. Not too many walkovers in the top divisions although in the lower divisions, there's still a good few.
Chances are (unless Laois pull off a couple of good results) that the last couple of games in the leagues will be played with county players avaialble which should suit the likes of Portlaoise, Josephs and Killeshin.
