They still can't count 6 months later. The thread asked for 3 highlights.
Surely the title of the thread gives a way?
Your top 3 sporting highlights of the year
Aristo 60's 1st one is my favourite.

Early onset of dementia, I've been telling people for years!
Are you sure?
It was hilarious. I remember the looks on the faces......this can't be happening. It's Iceland, innit?
It was great to see Portugal winning. They had awful heartbreak in 2004. They now have as many major tournament wins as England.
So many 'Famines' ended this year* .
1. Hibs winning the scottish cup.
over 100 year gap, rank underdogs, rank rotten opposition but mainly for this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3b_lw7t2TE (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3b_lw7t2TE)
2. Cubs winning the world series.
Another 100 year gap, Also it was obvious from a long way out that they were the best team this year but they still nearly effed it up. I went to bed before the 6th inning in game 7 thinking it was done and dusted and missed all the real action.
3. Ireland winning in Chicago.
Taking into account 2 above, what a trip that must have been.
1. Ireland beating New Zealand
2. Leicester winning the Premier League.
3. Even though it pains me as a Glen man you cannot deny Slaughtneil winning the Ulster treble. Serious achievement!
SLAUGHTNEIL TREBLE
ICELAND BEATING ENGLAND
IRELAND BEATING NZ
Why is rugby the only game in the world where people get excited about winning a challenge game?
