Jaysus it's not good when a poster names laoislad can't even find a positive reason to live there!!
2) It's not Bangladesh
3. Its easy enough to get to Westmeath from, but Longford is far enough away.
Winning a Leinster title would be the equivalent of a 4 in a row for other counties.

A fellow I was at school with has been in living in Laois for 20 years now, but he will probably be allowed leave soon.
The "Laois" road signs are easy to produce as you just need tp cut and paste for both Languages.
The apple tart in the Sportsman's Inn in Cullohill, the home place of Darina.

The breakfast there was always mighty. Plenty of lovely fresh soda bread with it.
I was last there about a year ago an it was as good as ever. The motorway must have hit their passing trade hard. I haven't been too often in the past 10 years.

Mountrath was indeed an odd place to travel through . Always deserted. Very little activity in the place or so it seemed.

And now unfortunately has one of national high unemployment rates for young men due to amount of unskilled workers that bought houses there during the noughties to get on the property ladder.
3 weeks before Christmas I sent one massive parcel back home for all the family.
Address as normal with Irlanda del norte at the end.
Parcel arrived in the the Uk somewhere within 2 days; what's this got to do with Laois?
And then dropped off the face of the earth.
Parcel eventually arrives today and surprise surprise, it went via Portlaois; obviously the centre of some dark galaxy, but at least it demonstrates that the rest of the world perceives Ireland as one island / nation.
So in conclusion, live in Laois if you wish to be near the super postal information hub highway etc etc etc
