Title: Back to the Drawing Board
Post by: Denn Forever on June 06, 2010, 04:00:03 PM
There will be some very attractive potential ties in the Qualifiers.  The best way will be route one.

Also some high scoring games so has the "puke football" ethos gone?

'Puke football' wasn't an ethos, it was a petty remark based on jealousy from a gobshite who'd just seen his beloved county humiliated in Croke Park...

The county he directed this against scored freely and at will when it wanted to, it also won two AI finals (against his beloved county) playing football that led to those games being widely held as the best AI finals in a generation ... said gobshite has made a very healthy living as someone who rails against all that is 'bad' in modern day football - and who will no doubt claim some credit for those excellent wins by Sligo and Louth

After the usual over reaction to a few bad games its been a good weekends football. 3 big enough shocks and plenty of top quality scores in high scoring games. If refs would just wise up a bit now and stop giving such soft frees and realise no one watches football to see them.

Can't honestly say I agree with in 2003. Was by far the most boring years action I can remember especially the final
