There seems to be some confusion over the number of muslim readers/posters on the GAA board. This is an attempt to gather definitive data.
Would that be a protestant muslim or a catholic muslim?
That's an important distinction alright passedit. ;)

Yer at it again!
Will ya not leave us poor Mayo lads alone as we've far more important things to discuss than bloody religion -or politics, or global warming or whatever?
Come to think of it, I say some of the heads down there would believe anything you'd tell 'em.

Reminds me of the joke.
'Are you a Catholic or a Protestant?'
'I'm an atheist, thank God'.
Or the one about the lad walking across the Albert Bridge in Belfast one night - he suddenly feels the barrell of a gun in the small of his back and a voice says "are ye a Catholic or a Protestant?" to which he answers "actually I'm Jewish!".
The voice behind him retorts "Allah be praised, I must be the luckiest Muslim in Belfast!".
A few years ago the New Statesman claimed that the British Muslims were the new Irish.
Where does that leave Irish Muslims?

Preliminary tallies show 13 of 36, or 36% of respondents are muslim. This is before the Longford boxes have been opened.
These numbers are somewhat below expectations, given the strong representation on the board of the Mustapha Rollover faction from Tyrone, the militant Cork GPA intifada and the armed Jayz-Al-Killya movement from Tipp Saudi.
