Maybe new topics should have to be accepted by the Moderator. Also there are 300+ pages on the general discussion can old threads not be removed?
I think that people who can't spell their own user name should be banned for starters!

As already explained to another nosey poster my name is not spelt wrong it is a clever pun on my surname. Would make more sense to ban people who have a go at other posters over stupid things.

Why? Sometimes I like to look over threads from several years ago. Some good craic back in the day.

Suppose your right 'ziggysego' (still dont think its the real ziggysego).
It used to be good craic back in the day eh you mean there was no people jumping down your throat every time you post something, looking for mistakes in your post. Jes.
New posters should have to wait a while before they can post ( say 1 week) and have to wait 150 posts before they can start a topic.
And once a poster is banned they should be banned for good. Is it that hard to keep track of the banned posters ( seeing that it is only a handful that keep coming back)?

Don't know about this one, I used to post on this board when I was in college under the name Peter Petrelli. Whenever I left college and got a job I said dose on the internet at work NEVER! I am here to do honest days work and change the world. I then deleted my user name with this forum.
However over the past 3 years I have broken I found myself reading the board more often and thought I should re-active my account. Not a fan of heroes anymore so I used this name, which I use on other forums. Anyway my point is most people will probably read the board for a while before they decide to post on it.
Oh, I remember seeing a Peter Petrelli on the board from many moons ago. Remember you were good craic. Welcome back.
Every so often we should have a special theme day. During that day, all posts should either be:
- in bold red font (Chinese New Year)
- typed in with your left hand (Twelfth Celebration - they're all w**kers)
- in comic font (Comedy Relief Day)
- typed in backwards (Longford Day - the backend of nowhere)
etc
etc
etc

For my birthday, I propose that everyone gets the spelling and grammar wrong.

i agree its surprising the amount of newbies on here that know posters so quick even if they have only being registered a few weeks
also one isp address one poster
Only members allowed to read certain parts of the board.
On couple of other boards I post on it shows at the top of the thread who is viewing the thread, I think this is a good feature.
Bring back the 'Users Online' so we could see what people are doing! ;)
I still think general discussion is waaaaaaaaay too cluttered.
I think one day a week we should have a Nordie free day..no shite about Armagh...Tyrone etc etc etc :)
what about a "cowboy sparks" free day
there should be a rule that there's no more talking about rules
New posters should not be allowed to post on the non-gaa section until they have made 20 GAA-related posts.
Then a dance-off.

The first part may be pointless, especially if people have been reading for ages. Also someone may want to join to respond to a specific post.
The second idea is fair enough. I've also seen forums where you're limited to say 5 posts a day until you reach so many posts.

No real point though, if a poster can just sign up under a new name.

365 days a year, we should have a soccer free day on the board.
Leap Day's your day :P

Post-whoring like this should result in an IP ban for the offender.

:D Brillaint. I fancy my moves to win the dance off.
I love you guys some brilliant posters on this forum.
I know, why dont we all have to pay a subscription fee instead to post on the gaaboard ::)
Some bollocks on here hi, think that someone shouldnt be allowed to start threads, should have post restrictions etc simply due to the fact that they have just registered or because they have less than 50 posts ::). Does that mean you idiots with the higher post counts (500+) think that you have more of a right to post on here than someone who has just joined / has a low post count? People like that grind my gears, think because they have been about for a while they think they are better than the newbie. if you think like that, well, your one sad basterd.

We should have a separate thread where we can discuss girlfriends.
Let's start with Tankie's :)
