I actually know a few people in Tyrone could have got tickets for All Ireland tomorrow and want to stay at home to see Man U Clothing Company first. I often watch half of minor game first in hotel and have a meal but my guess Man C and U game will be on TVs. Just wondering what fellow Gaels :o would choose... minor All Ireland on RTE or soccer on SKY...zzzzzzzzzzz
Guess I'll go to all of minor game which I suppose I should always do...
If Armagh weren't in the minors and I'd probably watch the soccer to be honest. I can see why people might be ambivalent about an underage match not involving their own county.
The minor game no question. I can see why people might be ambivalent about a soccer match not invoving any team from your own country.
As I dont watch soccer the question doesnt really arise but for the record it's the Minor game for me ( especially as there is Roscommon involvement :D)
Soccer bores the tits out of me to be honest and I would probably pick an under 16 east down grade c semi final as opposed to a game of soccer.

Agree with you there- even if I was at home would have no interest in watching the Manchester game compared to minor All Ireland no matter who is in it.

Maybe thats the reason for my bitterness towards the "beautiful game." :o To be fair gone off it in last few years. Watching 90 minutes to maybe 6 or 7 shots at goal the whole game. Though I have no problem watching condensed highlights.
It would really depend on who was playing in the minors and who was playing in the soccer.
I will see a lot of the minor gam and none of United v. City
Minors - yes
Senior - yes
Soccer - no
Minors and Seniors, the real thing.
Was in Sinnots tonight. The no of people on first name terms with 'stevie'' yossie' and 'jamie' would sicken yer shite. Even the minors of the perennial failures that are ourma are better than that!
I don't like replying in threads like this as, in the same sense that I don't reply in threads about things that dont interest me, like in this case association football as its best you just dont pay attention to them but since its in the GAA section. I would watch welly throwing before I'd watch Ireland in their current struggle to qualify for a chance at quadrennial failure. Hell I even watched Northern Ireland* the other day instead, though this is because I live with Polish people who were interested.
So long storey short, I'll be watching the minors.
*which is hard to distinguish from welly throwing

Likewise. I'd rather shit myself than watch that crap across the water.
Wouldn't watch soccer over GAA no matter who was playing.
Come on the Rebels!! ;)
no irish man worth his salt would watch an epl game over an all ireland final - nothing short of treason.
Everyman to his own I suppose. Can't really see the interest in soccer. Watched a games last night; Liverpool vs team in purple / maroon. I think there was at least 5 goals, but it bored the hole off me.
Not living at home, so I think I have a tendency to watch anything GAA.
Minors, yes
Seniors, yes
There's no more sport on TV after that.
what times throw-in for the minors?
1.15pm
tried justin tv, not getting link "for sale sign", any other sites (free).
Soccer
cheers zulu!
It's All Ireland Football Final day.
Mayo losing is our National sport.
For Irish all over the world there is only one sport to watch today.
Thats a load of bull muppet there are loads of Irish people with no interest in football me included. I won't be watching either bogball final that doesn't make me any less Irish. My club have club have a junior hurling match later which i will have far more interest in.

Muppet wasnt being serious you muppet. ;)
As for your attitude towards gaelic football, I think that people like you, you know, the uppity hurling types that lookdown their nose at gaelic football are sanctimonious arseholes. Hurling is a fine game played well b about six counties, the result of the hurling AI was mailed in before a puck was drawn on, Kilkenny were always going to win it, it is becoming boring, kind of like tennis every time Federer plays in a major.

Is just the avator shows you're not Irish.... west brit :o
AIF day is something that I always look forward too, but yesterday's 2 games were for the most part complete dross
If it hadnt been Armagh minors playing I would have turned it over to the soccer such was the quality of the game
Bar the first 20 mins of the senior game, it was poor as well IMHO
I flicked and to be honest the Minor game was a complete borefest.
If I were from Armagh I would demand that the title be handed back to the Gaa and decalre this years AI Minor null and void. :D
only because i'm an armagh man i watched the Minors, but i missed a great soccer game.
Watched the minors and listened to the soccer on radio five live. The minors was very poor, but despite all the goals it was only after the second city equaliser that the soccer really took off!
I'd definitely go watch Waterford minors in the All-Ireland rather than watch Liverpool. But would I rather Waterford minors win the All-Ireland than Liverpool win the Premier League? Probably not.

What about Waterford seniors/win an All-Ireland vs Liverpool/ win the Premier League ?
