My wife has the most wonderful auburn hair. I'd be more upset if she were to cut it or dye it than if she cheated on me (easy to say since neither is very likely but I do loves me red hair).

I admit to being a tad gingaphobic. This has not been a decision that I made ,nor indeed something that I'm proud of - simply something beyond my control. I think that it might be linked to a photo that I found when I was about 10 of me as a nipper on the beach with my Granda. In the photo I had ginger curly hair and a receeding hairline. I looked like a baby Mick f***ing Hucknell !!

i was reading an article recently about redheads with pale skin and freckles is the new "in" look!

it has always baffled me how some would rather the  "tangoed, jet balck straight as straight can be hair, with buckets of blusher" look!

red heads rule!

Anyone seen the South Park episode where they turn Cartmans hair ginger whilst he's asleep  :D

Absolute classic episode, he starts a ginger cult whose aim is to rid South park of all non-gingers!!!

Brilliant episode! He thought he had 'gingervitis'

my hair is darkening and getting duller as i get older....

it always had a red tint to it! and when the sun shone it really did show..
thats why my very original class mates who sing

" ding-a-ling-aling (insert name) hair's on fire, ding-a-ling-aling..... X10"

shouldn't complain could have been a lot worst....

also recently asked did i not wish that my freckles would fade... and i don't...

i'm pale freckled and red...........and proud!

I'm a red head, but more strawberry blonde than red. My son's mam is a redhead, more a honey blonde, and mini-me has the most beautiful colour of red.  He has weemin swooning over him.  Now that he's 8 he's really starting to get conscious of the attention.  I am very fair skinned and to be honest I think it is weird seeing redheads with tans.  Just don't look right.  However, I don't get freckles, though mini-me does.

Apparently there's only a 25% chance that two redheads will have a redhead child.

Anyone on here see the advertisement for a BBC 6C programme about two or three years ago featuring a wee redhead girl?  We are a dying breed and by all accounts if the current trend continues there will be no redheads left.

Where's the feckin Vikings now when we need them? >:(

Aerlik, seems like your mini me was lucky not to be blonde, what with you being strawberry blonde (or Tuscany sunset as some like to call it) and his mum being honey blonde (that's a new one for me). Maybe he has red hair because both his parents are gingers, with not a trace of blonde in sight!!! ;-)

honey blonde my ass! Stay true to your roots! (pun intended).

Is it not dangerous for two gingers to have a baby?

There's a cracking looking ginger haired girl in my work. She went and dyed the hair there last week and doesn't look half as good...
